If f13 had ended with this one, I think Jasons name would have carried alot more respect with it. Now it's tainted by all the ridiculous stuff that came after. I think part 4 is truly the best slasher ever made and it would've been way more legendary had they not made all the other ones. Also, Ted White fucking nailed the part despite being so reluctant to play it. =)
jason looks different in all the friday the 13th beacuse he gets hand split in half and gets his head almost choped off the face looks kind of wierd in every movie
Kane was the best but he was in the worst movies of the series. I really liked CJ Graham in Jason Lives. Kane is credited with giving Jason his more iconic look but alot of it was copied from Part 6. Ted White did a great job too. The Final Chapter is my favorite of the series and the first I ever saw.
Kane Hodder and Ted White were all time favorite Jason actors.... in the future if they make another only on the chance of please bringing back to Crystal Lake i believe they should aquire Kane from WWE for the role if you want to know why watch See No Evil with him in it .... his demenor and size and strength are enough for the role....
@JSEJeppe The producers were to cheap to hire back the same actors in most cases. When it comes to Kane Hodder's different look I'd say the producers were to cheap to hire back the same make up people.
Hodder's look was pretty similar in Part 7 and Part 8. Many consider that the most iconic look for Jason. In Jason Goes To Hell and Jason X I think the Jason makeup looks the worst it ever has. The costume looks bulky and the makup looks too fake. Kane almost looks fat in Jason Goes To Hell. Oh and like you said, different makeup people played a role but the look drastically changed in Hell and Jason X plus so did the studio. Paramount lost the rights to New Line.
not too cheap. every makeup team and creator of new friday films want to put their own spin on the look of Jason. Each trying to perfect the look how they see it, with mixed results. It's pretty much the same for every horror franchise light Nightmare and Halloween even.
@JOHNNYKRUSE not too cheap. every makeup team and creator of new friday films want to put their own spin on the look of Jason. Each trying to perfect the look how they see it, with mixed results. It's pretty much the same for every horror franchise light Nightmare and Halloween even.
@JOHNNYKRUSE OR they had new, different ideas to make a more terrifying or grotesque jason. Plus they hired new art directors and makeup artists throughout the films, so their Jasons couldn't look all the same that would just be boring. Regardless I think they were pretty good about depicting every previous installment's damage/injuries, plus a new look is always fun! Variety!
@JSEJeppe all the jason movies were directed by different people except friday the thirteenth parts 2 and 3 they were both directed by steve miner so in every film the directors showed their vision of jason and what they believed he looked like
Because of different directors and different actors. Each actor wanted to bring their own spin to the character. PLUS...Jason was human in Part 2-4, not in part 5 (except flashbacks) and zombie in part 6-Jason Vs.Freddy. In the remake, which was shitty they pretty much remake part 1-3 but Jason doesn't seem human in that one so makes me wonder if the people behind it saw the orginals.
@JSEJeppe no he doesnt know wtf hes talking about first of all there is no to cheap. the movies were made dirt cheap to begin with. its all just a matter of director preference and artistic ideas of how they wanted jason to look.
@JSEJeppe well tom savini was hired back for the final chapter so he tried to create a jason that stayed true to his original version (the child at the end of the original). the others do vary, but there is some continuity. the fifth doesn't count, obviously, because it wasn't jason.
Probably Jason's creepiest unmasking. For this, they actually had some consistancy with Tom Savini actually aging the young Jason head mold correctly.
@rockyrack2 >> Part 3, he looked more like Sloth from The Goonies to me. This one looks closer to what they do in later movies (this one's pretty ghoulish) Worst one handsdown was Jason Takes Manhattan when they show his face.
@83phatman He did kind of look like Sloth but I was scared shitless of Sloth when I was a kid. I lthink his part 3 look is scarrier to me because he looks more human and real where as in part 4 it looks like he's wearing a monster mask. I believe the great Stan Winston did his makeup in part 3.
@rockyrack2 Totally agree, especially on part 2. I hated the overalls and plaid shirt from part 2 too, he was like a killer farmer. I must admit though the I liked the bag on his head, it was kind of creepy looking.
its funny you mentioned sloth because i always thought he should have been a monster in an 80's horror film. he has the perfect monster face and head.
Really amazing stuff. Lets you in on the magic trick, but unlike the magician who shows you just how he escaped the car before it fell onto the bed of spikes, this takes away none of the realism. It still looks like they died rough in The Final Chapter. I'm not sure who to feel more sorry for in this clip, Kimberly Beck with the blood in the eye, or the poor dog that was made to actually break the glass. Sheesh, he earned a biscuit that day.
Did jason kill littlecorey bofore or after he got killed please reply... Im new o friday the 13th
