I liked Persona 3 more, but then again, Persona 4 had a lot of improvements. There's only one thing that I have against P4, and that's Yukiko or whatever her name is. The chick in red. I really don't like her, because she's so inconsistant. I mean, what's her personality? She plays the shy "Am I a little stronger?" line, but also goes "All right!" in battle, being punky I guess... Its like they stuffed all the cool lines into her and made a total mess. I wish there was another healer besides her

His buffs are something Yukiko doesn't have, and he has amrita. Diarhan, and an amrita is easy enough. Teddie's more useful. He isn't a skilled fighter, but a hell of a healer and buffer.

Ah, well that's your strategy. If you have a steady buff Persona, Yukiko is the only one needed. Why didn't you just say that? I never had any buffs so I relied on Teddie, Chie, and Yosuke for that. Teddie heals, Chie ass kicks, Yosuke brave blades. That's my party, because they have great buff skills and attacks, but only heals wouldn't have helped me if I hadn't had the buffs to keep me alive. So in my case, Teddie's better, and in your Yukiko's better. Happy now?

What with Yukari's mom being a total bitch, her dad dead, Junpei's dad a useless drunk, Mitsuru's dad a strict workaholic(/pirate XD), also with MC's, Akihiko's, Shinjiro's, and Ken's parents all dead...yeah (Not to mention the fact that Aigis was manufactured). I liked Persona 4 because the characters are more believable and easier to relate to.

I find P3 and P4 pretty much equal, though I do prefer the plot in P3, and the game play in P4. The one thing that kinda irks me in P3 is the fact that nearly every character in SEES is one of those "bad/dead parents ergo stronger personality" type.

Persona 3 is just as great as Persona 4. The story is darker than P4 and there is a few annoying bits but every game has those bits. If you enjoyed P4, get P3. Just make sure to get Persona 3 FES instead of the original Persona 3. FES has new added features in it.
