Baby Sign Language - Teach Your Baby to Sign

I volunteer at a daycare and we teach the babies ASL and they love it. It also makes it so much easier to communicate with us.

My son is 6 months right now and we just bought a beginner book, we are so excited to teach him sign, my fiance took a few classes and knows quite a bit, and we have a couple def cousins too.

my parents are deaf so i was forced to learn sign language and i am in junior high. i asked my principal if i can teach a sign language class and he said ok. so now half the school knows sign language.

Amazing that a baby can communicate like this. All parents should learn sign language and teach it to their kids, even they are already teenagers.

What a fantastic idea. More parents should be doing this. A great way to not only give the baby a head start on communication in general, but teaches good non-verbal ques which will be very helpful later in life!

I like this idea. It will eliminate a lot of fustration parents have with child rearing. And foster interaction with parents. This leads to a wonderful relationship building and a "socialized" mind for young children:)

My nieces learned sign and they are way ahead of their 3 year old peers in their spoken language skills at this point.

What a great idea. I would never have thought of such a thing as being possible. But of course babies do comunicate through they're behavior. Thinking about it, seems an obvious thing teaching them to sign at the earliest opportunity.

Fantastic video that shows kids can communicate at an early age without talking.

My grand daughter was taught this at her daycare and we could tell when she wanted more, or was done eating.

Made it easier for the adults and her to understand each other.
