I don't think having it on a center stand makes it any less of a burnout. I can do it by just using the front brake but the amount of smoke produced never matches what I did here. With the center stand down there is not much weight on the rear tyre so it spins at a much faster rpm. With the whole weight of the bike on it its much slower thus less smoke. So in all there is a point to using the center stand.
