  • man ive only found two lined salamanders and northern duskys. i hope that in the winter i can find spotted and marble

  • sweet

  • Great finds man.

  • Quiz question: what other ambystoma are fall breeders? No looking things up

  • talpoideum for sure.

errr ... annulatum but that is in MO.

I think talpoideum is it in IL ... there are only like 8 species in the ambystoma genus in IL.

longtailed and cave are fall breeders too I know... not ambystoma though.

  • I guess i should have been more specific. i meant all of the US. Also, what is the common name of talpoidium?

And yes eurycea are generally fall/winter breeders

  • Trifecta in Oct? Plus a lifer??? Great finds! WNDR FTW!

  • That's just how we roll.

Lesser Sirens are next on my list.

  • I've caught a 2 toed amphiuma before.

  • If you could be in illinois the best would be southern illinois or northern illinois because where i live in illinois we are only supposed to have tiger salamanders and i have never seen one.

  • oh man you have some great videos! I wish i could be as knowledgeable as you, but you have to start somewhere! and your so lucky too, the only salamanders we see are slimy's and red backs

  • Great videotaping as always!
