  • @pacific707 you said "Then WHY do YOU keep it up on Youtube, if you don't want the attention it gives you? If it's old, take it down and who will give a shit about you, anyway?" Are you gonna start a fight with me over internet? What's the worst thing you can do to me, caps lock me to death?

  • fyagcorp - The feeling is incredibly mutual!

  • Comment removed

  • @pacific707 "wah fuckin' wah" --You, 2012

  • @fyadcorp Go jerk yourself off in the mirror again, twit. You may get better at it. Only you know for sure.

  • @pacific707 try harder dude you're terrible at posting

  • French pilot landing in the uk and he landed it the second try in 35 - 40 mph cross wind.

  • insane crosswind..

  • For what ever reason the computer or the pilot made a decision to go around. It is and always has been and always will be the prerogative of the PIC to make those decisions regardless of people on YouTube think.

  • @Flatbedder1 Doesn't quite make sense to me. Can you explain a little more about your feelings on this?

  • Tower: ur clear.

    Pilot:ok

Tower: btw ur x wife is here

" pilot puts throttle at full blast and announces "wrong airport!!!"

  • @RADZADprodutions Oh yeah, can't you think of something original? Cause that's what I posted few months ago and it got about 170 likes...

  • @GoldLeader272 WOW! Aren't YOU special?? 170 "Likes?" Buddy, that could break the record! THAT MEANS that YOU are so much more SPECIAL than any of the rest of us, that you are the "King For A Day!"" I laud you! I'm throwing flowers at your flabby ass! Congratulations, AGAIN!! We are ALL SO PROUD OF YOU!" It's just...so incredible!!! Congratulations, again. You are a SHINING STAR in your VERY OWN UNIVERSE!!!!"

  • @pacific707 Those comment WERE NOT directed at you GoldLeader272. They were for the dickhead who left his response above yours.

  • @pacific707 fuck off

  • @pacific707 Mate, you just replied to a months old comment. Who the heck gives a shit? /watch?v=RFZrzg62Zj0

  • 0:15 FEU! (fire)

  • Tower: Pilot, you are clear for landing.

Pilot: Thank you sir landing in T minus 8 seconds

Tower: By the way, your wife is here

Pilot: Oh shit!!!! Abort Abort Abort

  • @Abercrombie830 Why can't you think of anything original mate, stop copying others' top comments...

  • This really is one of the best aviation clips on the net, the power of the plane is just awesome. The way it leaps back into the sky at 0:21 is a thing of beauty.

  • @reluctable That's one of the things that struck me - the pilot just grabs a handful and away it goes!

  • Love the porno music at 0:30

  • I this at Leeds Bradford by any chance?

  • some serious wind there

  • there was a cross wind you nerds that why he couldn't put it down that time

  • 0:20 you can see the plume of engine exhaust as the captain pushed his 4 RR beasts from their idle setting to "get the F*** out of here" setting....

  • @iwannaplaycs and that was the setting WITHOUT any afterburner.. more than enough to get the job done! A shame really, because seeing Concorde in afterburner (or reheat as it's sometimes known in the UK) is awesome.

  • Thus concludes how to instantly create 200+ All-American cheerleaders for Rolls Royce. Not to be confused with the All-English "Drive yourself" 60s contingent of "The one".

As I said, not getting any smarter, getting way older, nover anywhere near as fast.

  • Must have been the screams of "GO ROLLS ROYCE OMFG...GO ROLLS ROYCE!" going through his head....

  • Not sure why I find that more disturbing than crash videos...

  • @Brandonmattew That makes no sense!

  • pilot: Shit! I left my flask of coffee behind !

Co-pilot: Oh don't worry sir, our stewardesses will look after us for coffee. Oh and Coco Pops as well !

Pilot: Hell man! No-one told me we had Coco Pops?? (shoves throttle gear forwards to full blast)

  • That plane was no ordinary plane. It was a fucking Rocket. A beast!!!!

  • @chucholetsm8one Not a beast, but just an aeroplane with a diffrence.

  • I watched the ( British airways & the Air France) SST's take off & land often at JFK in NY. AWSOME TAKE OFFS! The ground would tremble when those jet engines went to 'warp factor 9'.!!

  • @den5276 I used to live a couple miles off the end of one of the runways at Dulles. Whenever it would takeoff everything in our house would shake. Lost of broken plates in that house haha

  • Looks like a choper

  • Now that's what I call a cross-wind!

  • IM AT THE WRONG AIRPORT!

  • TO/GA

  • Fogot to fasten seatbelt

  • hope any celebs on board jobbyd ther pants lol

  • Look at the thing, of course it's not a good plane. Massive wings, crap in crosswind. Just because it was fast and looked cool, it was never very functional. A bit like a Ferrari in everyday use.

  • @dob90210 747s and a380s have massive wings...

Concorde was VERY functional - New York to London and back in a day. It gave businessmen and women back some of that important commodity called time. She was hampered by people not liking sonic booms, so many of here proposed routes were cancelled. Today's airliners are too slow. Besides Concorde's electrical systems were far more reliable than an italian sportscar's :D ;)

  • At least his tires didn't separate.

  • Good choice, a sudden cross wind across the runaway has amde it hard to bring the nose down so aborted and fly around and try again... excellent!

  • @Brandonmattew I don't understand??

  • Listen closely at 0:16. Did the pilot shut the engines off?

  • Wrong Airport.

  • @HerrHoIIe taxi way!!!!!!!!...hahah

  • @HerrHoIIe pilot wand land takes his glases oh shitt wrong airport pull up stic hard

  • I've tried landing those in simulators, they are a bitch to land. You can't see a damn thing.

  • scary

  • @Brandonmattew well..it is ex wife..

  • R.I.P. Concorde

  • What a plane!

  • I think that was crosswind to avoid any mishappening the pilot refused to land instead he flew again for the next try.

  • very noisy isn't it ?

  • The Concorde has been moth balled we may see it fly again?i hope we do one day, i last saw one on it's round the wORLD FLIGHT right over my house in Wanneroo Perth W.A. as she flew in from the beach.Thanks.My grand dad worked on the emergency recovery jacks design i think was used by the ground tugs.

  • This shows the might of the Concorde. It's engines enough to support the whole plane outta of Stalling

  • I think aviation safety could be improved with longer runways. most runways are not more than 12,000ft. If runways were longer a pilot would have more time to stop

  • @210482fmj Waste of money 12,000 feet is plenty for most planes

  • @Brandonmattew

Well all that because is ex-wife boy friend's name is "Roger"...

  • Is this Leeds Bradford? I literally live 10 minutes away...

  • @MGCMuseGuitarCovers I lived in Horsforth back then! I was there that day!

  • @Dumbrarere your a sap!!! nothing more nothing less just a SAP and if you dont know what that is your just a wanker instead

  • the thing is if you got one of the concords it would still fly , its just out of service. not saying it will happen all im saying is anything is posable

  • Concorde or SR-71

    Which is better?

  • @brightlights456X it looks like a thunderbird

  • @djscottdog1

    Do you mean the SR?

Looking at an SR in flight from a side angle looks soooooo sleak. How can you 'hate' it?

  • @brightlights456X i dont hate it i just think it looks like thunderbird 2 a bit , was the sr 71 a super sonic passage plain

  • @djscottdog1

You plane. It was a reconnisance (take pictures of other countries). I personally think it's the best looking machine ever created.

What plane do you like more?

  • @brightlights456X i like the an 225 , awesome machine

  • @brightlights456X Neither and both. Concorde was the worlds only supersonic passenger aircraft. SR71 was a Mach 3 photo reconnisance platform. They both had such different purposes that they are near impossible to compare.

  • @TheWierdFish

Okay, but if you had to see one again at an air show, which would you pick?

  • @brightlights456X Concorde. Every time.

  • @TheWierdFish

Why? The SR-71 was faster than all rivals.

  • @brightlights456X The SR71 had no rivals. It was and still is the only mach 3 photo-recce' platform. Concorde also has no rivals since the Russian attempt was cancelled due to it not being as good. But. Concorde has something that Blackbird doesn't. It has a certain style and presence about it that makes it somehow more than just metal. Plus, my uncle had a part in the design of the Oylmpus engines that powered it.

  • @TheWierdFish Concorde was very special because it was built not for pilots in pressure suits and oxygen masks with ejector seats, not built with a near unlimited budget and out of incredibly exotic materials designed for one purpose- to go really fast. That was the SR71. No, this was built so guys in suits could sit in leather seats sipping champagne in superb comfort and get from one side of the atlantic to the other in 3 hours, as fast as the fastest fighter. Masterful engineering.

  • @vulcanproject Ah but it was so much more. It's complexity, its difficulty to design, the stories of the men and women who made it all happen add up to more than metal and leather. They add up to something resembling a soul. People love these things just because they interupted thier tea every evening or because you could never see one fast enough when you heard them. When it crashed, people were sad about the loss of life. But the loss of the aircraft was somehow worse.

  • @TheWierdFish The TU-144 project was scrapped because the damn thing crashed at Paris Air Show and had design flaws.

  • @TalkToTheBody - Actually, it was more due to trying to find someone in the Soviet Union who could use the thing. Most people were either not rich enough or the government wanted to know exactly why they had to travel...

  • @JBofBrisbane The TU-144 was plagued by technical flaws, one theory of the Paris crash was the USSR was passed flawed technical design data by the Anglo-French, another theory was a Mirage flying too close and another was an engineering error. At the end of the day the aircraft was flawed and government funding dried up.

  • @brightlights456X SR71 in the end suffered the same fate as Concorde, but this one superceded by satellites and UAVs. SR71's ultimate purpose- spying, means it was really replaced by superior technology, or superior use of technology at least. Concorde although also superceded by instant communications, has never been replaced by a superior and faster method of getting fare paying people from one place to another on the surface of the planet. For shame.

  • You're forgot Tu-144 and Sukhoi T-4 .........

  • The investigation stated that Concorde was not to blame. Crew error calculating weights, poor maintenance practice of a DC10. Everything conspired against Concorde that day making a crash inevitable. The design of the aircraft was and is still safe. Before this one incident, Concorde had an impeccable safety record even after other blown tyres incidents. Combined circumstances caused the crash, not a design flaw or being fundamentally dangerous. RUBBISH! to anyone claiming otherwise. BS!

  • Someone will save concorde, and it WILL fly again one day, i guarantee it. I could not imagine a better toy as a wealthy billionaire to own one's personal concorde. This is the greatest technological achievement in the history of flight second only to leaving the atmosphere of our planet. Respect what was achieved by a lot of incredible engineering, and know to this day this accomplishment has not been surpassed in civil aviation, and probably will not be for another half century or more

  • @projectraven1 goddamn! you british think everything that you have a part in is just perfect dontcha? it was grounded because its not safe, it costs insanely high prices to operate. costing multiple thousands just for one way flights. the high speed tires on the concorde are expensive as hell and can fail just because of the stresses on landing and take off [on the concorde exclusively.]

not saying it wasnt a good plane but.. the pros are outnumbered by the cons and safety issues.

  • @TruWuFFY It was grounded after the accident, but returned to operation afterwards. This is a crap assertion made by people who did not understand the reason of the sole crash. Naturally after such an incident and after the investigation, concorde was FULLY CERTIFIED once again for flight and thus completely safe. The reason flights ended, were purely financial reasons. Not because this aircraft was unsafe. Anyone that claims this is WRONG.

  • @TruWuFFY Nobody thinks it was perfect and to suggest that 'brits' thought it was perfect is outrageous and ignorant stereotyping which suggests a lot of your character. Concorde's sole crash and the disintegration of said tyre forced EVERY aircraft to be fitted with the redeveloped, advanced tyres made specifically for conrcode. As a DIRECT result of that terrible day, air travel on every single large aircraft gets that little bit safer again. The investigation concluded the aircraft was SAFE.

  • @TruWuFFY You sound like a jealous American :) Just because your boys at Boeing couldn't fund a working prototype of the 2707 SST, and none of the other manufacturers could either, you don't like it. Just like when the protesters at JFK were trying to ban Concorde on noise levels, and she passed the noise tests with flying colours - she could fly a departure that 747s would struggle with ;)

Anyway - I love the USA - you get to play with guns and big V8s, unlike us in the UK.. :(

  • @TachyonDriver Amen, many millions agree with your post

  • @TachyonDriver us australians dont give a shit in a good way :)

  • @TachyonDriver Colors*

  • @Dragonian15 LOL over here in England, we write and spell in English, not American English ;)

  • @TachyonDriver Another dumb countryman of mine trying to show an Englishman how to speak English.Don't bother my friend..some of us are lost in the language. But I assure you,the vast majority of Americans know what colour means and where it's used.Now..try and drop fag, lorrie, bobbi, limey, sod and shag on us and see who gets it.LOL! Yes..I do "fancy" my English brothers and sisters and their slang

BTW-I watched the last flight of Concorde leave NY and it was a very sad day.

  • @TachyonDriver Easy there fella...we Americans loved the Concorde and hated those JFK protesters. Here's a deal for you..I'll trade every gun and V8 for the chance to "shag" a hot English girl with that awesome accent.Never had that privilege but i know I'd absolutely love it.

P.S. We love the UK too.

  • @xraeddie A kindred spirit! I'd like to shag an American girl, - a hot one ;) although my wife might not be too happy! :D Not sure which region I'd like best - the Beach Boys California Girls sums it up, not that I'd want 'em all to be from California.

  • @xraeddie Forget shagging UK girls i only shag Thai lady's now

  • @TachyonDriver That's why Boeing 747's are still flying strong, while Concords sit in museums collecting dust.

  • @TachyonDriver Top comment, am in the UK and i have a big V8 just cannot afford the juce at £6.31 a gallon or $9.76 USD!

  • @TachyonDriver Wow. What inspired the condescending comments? I must have missed something. Nobody should be dissing the Concorde. It was a fantastic jet. It's simply too bad that it never caught on in the states because so many people were bothered by "sonic booms" to which I say, "Deal with it." This type of travel could have revolutionized the airline industry. It would have had a major influence on domestic air travel, as much as it did on international air travel. But, sadly, no....

  • @pacific707 you're an idiot

  • Comment removed

  • @TachyonDriver yeh england is gay fuck you taking over Ireland Your country is a waste

  • Concorde Is a dangerous plane, otherwise it would have not been banend.

  • @Camoflaged3 Rubbish, Concorde was not banned. It was and is a magnificent achievement of technology. Sadly no longer financially viable, thanks to the demand for cheaper flights and the advent of the internet. Time is money. Video conferencing. Why pay more to get there faster now when you could be in the room instantaneously over a link never leaving your office. Concorde here is just showing its lack of flaps making low speed flying harder. When it really flies though...a stupendous machine

  • @Camoflaged3 it was banned because of running costs. it is a safe plane. the only reason it crashed was because the french couldnt keep a clean runway.

  • @MrWoodoop It wasn't banned, it was taken out of service, shame either way, it belongs in the skies.

  • I'm surprised it didnt rip the pavement off the landingstrip.

  • Remind me i need to get my Concorde poster

  • That was an awesome plane. I miss it.

  • I heard they are relaunching her shortly.Re-badging this as an "Eco friendly" aircraft that runs off the methane the passengers produce on high cross wind (no pun intended) landings. Also, a battery powered one is planned, flown from the ground with a four channel remote. It is un-manned by both passengers or pilots., but pretty much the same thing when watching from the ground

  • I miss these old girls. They were ahead of their time at introduction, and still seem it today. I wish I would have had the opportunity to fly in one, as I'm sure many others do.

  • You can see the power of this aircraft, despite the weight of it, it regains altitude reasonably quickly..

  • it all about fast thinking and reaction, he pushed the pedal to the metal ... impressive thrust on these engines

  • lol he must have been about to shit his pants it looked like it was gonna slide and crash.

the concorde is like a super plane ?

  • Phew that was a long 30 hour flight! Oh nope.. nope sorry, forgot something have to back.

  • I'm guessing this was a planned test flight, the camera man and the extremely late and seemingly un-necessary drift correction are the give aways.

It's a shame the concords don't fly anymore, something about they cost too much for fuel, repair, and upkeep while having limited profit potential.

  • @killer2600 I agree on it being a shame, but I don't understand the mention of unnecessary attitude correction. He had to nose into the wind to facilitate the lift for go around, although it could well be a filmed trial of sorts.

  • @SteveGad it's not altitude correction. Planes like boats get blown off course by the current (wind in this case), to correct this a pilot points the plane towards the wind during landing and straightens out before hitting the runway. This looks to me like a extreme test of the planes ability to handle landing abort maneuvers because from my guess the plane had a good line up the the runway before turning into the wind and aborting the landing.

  • Damn, I wish Concorde was still flying - I wanted to take a flight

  • Looks like the wind got him off course

  • Next supersonic transport wants all wheels to be steerable like what the B52 has, might add some weight, but that's potentially fewer missed landings due to slight crosswind.

It also wants to be fusion electric. International Space Station and back on a glass of water is where it's at.

  • @Psychotol I just have to ask what are steerable wheels going to do for landings? In theory it sounds great but once a plane is in contact with the ground wind is no longer pushing the plane off-course but the plane itself is pointed off-course. Unless you can somehow cancel all the correct correction thrust and momentum the moment the wheels touch, it's a lot of money spent for little gain except for doing tight donuts on the ground (maybe).

  • @killer2600 If all the wheels could align to the aircraft's track irrespective of the aircraft's heading, it could land pointing across the runway.

The B52 bomber has the kinds of wheels I mean, lookup "B-52H Landing & Crabbing @ RAF Fairford" and you'll see what I mean, at about 45 seconds in, it'll be apparent that the B52 is not aligned with the runway.

  • @Psychotol I'm not crunching the physics numbers but I think you're gonna need the parachute as well to bleed off speed.

Either way, it's expensive technology and expense is the exact reason the concorde no longer flies today. You can't stick enough passengers in the already expensive seats to turn a good profit. The slower, bigger jets are more profitable at only the cost of longer flights for the passengers which is ok for them because the seats are more affordable.

  • @killer2600 There were a number of reasons;

    1) Supersonic flight burns fuel like a bitch

    2) Supersonic flight makes noise like a bitch

    3) Supersonic jet engines need (high) maintenance like a bitch

So you see, operating Concorde is just plain a bitch

  • @irR4tiOn4L I LOVE bitches!

Why couldn't I operate the Concorde?

  • Oh my god... the pilot is a lucky person. It looked like he will hit the ground like an asteroid hiting Earth!

  • Hit the road Jack....

  • Concorde. A Vulcan Bomber with seats, Awesome.

  • Fuck the gay economic/huge dreamliners and the gay airbuses.. bring back supersonic!

  • @wank0r yes concorde is awesome but why bashing on A&B :P

  • 1. That may be a freak crosswind so the operating systems correct themselves. 2. Planes such as the Concorde and other jet fighters and jet aircraft in general have landing and taking off systems which does NOT require any action from the pilot, they are simply there in case of a failure with these systems.

  • Great piloting skills.

  • its a cross wind that cuases that... until the aircraft gets to spead

  • 0:02 ATC: You're clear to land

    0:04 Pilot: Roger that

0:19 ATC: Oh by the way your ex-wife is here

    0:21 Pilot: ABORT! ABORT!

  • @GoldLeader272 LOL

  • Awesome! So sad that these beautiful birds have been thrownon the scrap heap

  • "Momma, I can see the end of the runway!"

"Yes dear, we just flew over it."

"Not that end of the runway momma..."

  • that was a bad crosswind! the rudder has a lot of yaw authority!

  • "Going round"... with tremendous thrust and style:))

  • 0:15 MID AIR DRIFT!!

  • Ow there is no doubt that Branson is a devious business man....just saying it's a shame Concorde is no more....it was something the Brits and French had to be rely proud of. Besides I'm pissed I never got a chance to fly in it!

  • FLY CONCORDE LIKE A BOSS

  • Looked like a windsheer blew the plane off course. Its the pilots call and no-one will ever criticize his decision. He'll have announced "I'm going round" meaning i'm aborting this attempt. Good man.

  • general opinion is that it was simply not profitable. more money to be made with slower planes that carry many hundreds of passengers than very fast ones that carry only a few. still a crying shame, I always wanted to travel in this. like the sn hovercraft it is no more

  • Virgin wanted to take over Concorde from BA....BUT BA with their BIG egos could never allow that to happen. Great shame rely!!!!

  • @TheHaas1987 Branson was only offering £1 per Concorde. Why would BA have given their flagship to their chief rivals? They would be sabotaging the company. I really doubt Branson would have expected them accept the offer anyway. It was a publicity stunt, which Virgin was doing at every opportunity those days (like adopting the Union Jack on the Virgin aircraft livery, to be 'the nation's flag carrier once BA stopped using it in an aborted scheme);.

  • @Max404s Isn't competition good?

  • @SuzLa1 I don't know what to make of your comment. For the customer competition is good; but not necessarily for the companies involved though. Air travel is now a mature market and the profit margins are now so small that the airlines can easily go bankrupt with the smallest of management errors or trade union disputes.

  • @Max404s Yes I mean for the customers. If BA were stupid enough to take off the union jack, I don't blame Virgin for using it.

  • Amazing plane, why its not in use ? to expensive ?

  • @ElephantKiller23 It was getting old and no one wanted it, so they retired it. See Wikipedia's article on the Concorde.

  • @daapz thx mate

  • @ElephantKiller23 Too loud!

  • @ElephantKiller23 too expensive, too loud.

  • The pilot was not actually going back. People complained about the noise of the aircraft so the Concorde Company made a way to make it slightly quieter.

  • Concorde to me looks cool but they stopped it in production because of safety and fuel. from what someone told me.

  • Pilot: Damn I forgot my hat....

  • captain says : " Hey this isnt Heathrow" !!

  • The beautiful and mighty Concorde.....

  • crosswind whas to strong

  • POWWWWWWERRRR!!!!! It makes everything better!

  • Just a standard go around to me , because of crosswinds ...

  • @emmab2006 yeah, but you gotta figure a go around in a concord is kinda expensive..

  • cross winds to severe.

  • WTF? Was he really off that much on his decent calculation and speed? How does this happen? Just curious.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDuchyCollege

Normal Go Around for all planes.

    google for Go-around
