i had my child since 1999, i now have to pay 5,000, but with intrest & fees it come to 12,000. i have talked to the dept many times, and they cant answer me. The mother keeps collecting food stamps, and breakeing the law. Only numbers stand up aganst the the goverment, and put a stop to this, may be the country can bounce back again.

He could get visitation rights. I am tired of these dudes crying, yet, they won't get a court order for visitation, and those that have the court order don't go thru the steps to get it inforced. I guess it just isn't that big of a deal to them.

It should be the responsibility of both the mother and father to financially support the child that was brought into this world...Making only the father pay is unjustly. Regardless of where the child resides. But you probably could not fathom that.

Again, if the money doesn't go to the custodial parent (you said mother is not correct since I know single fathers that are CP's), then where should it go? Who else takes care of the child when the NCP is nowhere around? If the CP (man or woman) is on welfare, then the state gets the CS money. What of all the CP's that work and do it on thier own. Do you honestly feel the whole responsibility is on them and the NCP should get a walk on responsibility?

You're not alone. Here in Rhode Island I was jailed for failure to pay when I'd never missed a payment; my ex lied about getting off welfare and I believed her. I had all the documentation proving that I'd paid my ex but the courts don't care one bit. Not good business going after the double-dipping mom I guess.
I can't get MD to enforce my court order. My ex hasn't paid a dime in five years, and is over $31,000 behind. I was told that because I'm not on welfare, and I work that my case is not urgent. BTW he has gone on to make five more children. My son is the oldest child and he is six with 5 siblings.
It's sad when you are faced with a system that thinks that all women are truthful and all men are liars! They only have to shed a tear and the court backs them 100%! Your children can be taken from you or you could be accused of rape by a strange woman, and it's assumed that they are telling the truth! Yet you see all over the news women killing their children but thats ok to them! The only thing a chick can do for me is give me head cause p*ssy is dangerous!
They make a business out of it. They focus on criminalizing fathers. I have desparately tried to be a part of by two daughters. My daughters mother has had my life threatened..had people harass and stalk me and has put the children in danger multiple times for her own selfish purposes.
This is also causing children to have emotional probelms. But yet it's all done in the name of the children..right. We are criminals for simply having children.
