i never did have trouble with any boss...at most it took me 3-4 tries before i knew the strat....the only boss that took awhile for me was the last boss(not dark samus) the boss b4 him up in the temple in the sky..becuz he had SOOO many forms it took awhile to completely defeat him( from knowing the mechanics to knowing what weapons to use at what point)..it was crazy but hella fun.

@LegendarySonic14 Probably the echo visor. Without it, you couldn't do anything. Especially against Quadraxis and the enemies who disrupted the Dark Visor. It also gave a bit more mystery, forcing you to use echolocation instead of sight :D

No, survival horror nor blood and guts belong in a Metroid game. Metroid is about atmosphere and exploration, not being scared silly. And what would gore add to the experience? Nothing.

@Commander6444 you must admit that there was a little bit of horror in these games. But it didnt came from slaughter, gore or anything like that. Proper ambientation along with the design of all the monsters created a most amazing atmosphere of suspense. That element of having to face the "unknown" and keep going in a such a dark and eerie atmosphere was simply perfect, and I must say that at some times I found myself scared by this game. Of course I was only 13 at the time I first played this.

@whatupguys1 mp2 is the most harder, scary and awesome game of all metroid primes, echoes has more graphics than corruption, the storyline is epic, and it has and it has the most gameplay hours.

Today, sat-9-july-2011, i own metroid prime trilogy and i still play it. If that game was online i would never sleep...

Boostball guardian was the hardest because you'd kept getting hit and your health would always be drained.

After the 50th time I gave up, cam back to it 2 years later, lost another 30 times, came back to it again after another year, and finally beat it on my first try after college finals. xD

Actually, boost guardian is far from hardest if you play HARD MODE. Once you beat boost guardian on any difficulty, it's easy if you ever fight again.

Here's my hardest bosses in HARD MODE (meaning there's deaths even after you beat it before on normal)

1. Emperor Ing (every hit is almost an energy tank, plus there's 3 forms)/ Dark Samus (extended health makes the timer hard to beat)

2. Spider Guardian (mistiming boost balls kill you)

3. Boost Guardian (just gotta button mash)

This is my favourite of the Prime trilogy, mainly for the theme of light and dark. With this song, it makes me think that the two opposites are like highest religious powers or something. And then the mixing of this with a marshland, an arid, and a... 'Sanctuary Fortress' (whatever. Couldn't think of an adjective). The overall atmosphere is astoundingly mysterious and peaceful with a distressful and war-like tone.
