Yes we might loose our loved ones. But there is hope!
We can work on growing in the meantime, so that when and if we see each other again, we can smile at each other, and not hold old emotional scars as ransom against them.
I know where she is. But since we agreed not to speak anymore, I'm sure someday soon she'll move away. After that, it's anyone's guess. I don't know where we went wrong, really. I suppose when you're truly in love, your emotions get the best of you. I just wish you understood. My heart will always be broken, but that's ok. I'll always have the memories of our last moments in love. Perhaps next lifetime, I'll get it right. I promise you....
@EveryoneCallsMeChris Hate to interrupt but since you made a public posting, just swallow your pride or whatever it is, or ask if she/he will, and the whole thing will be one more you laugh about, recall with annoyance, or a little of both. If you're caught in a power struggle then lose or meet in the middle. Or agree to lose and change your mind later. We make relationships harder than they need to be, very often.
@brelfan I know, you're very right. The problem is, I fell too in love. I gave it my all, and never considered the reprecussions if I were to lose her. I'm getting better with each passing day. It's just a bit slow. I know I'll be able to laugh about this one day, or forget it entirely. Right now, I'm just greiving. I'll smile again soon. I know I will.
@EveryoneCallsMeChris I've broken up with my exhusband often. At some point, I always call the split quits. I have to reach out and say, enough with the split, and accept all kinds of things. Over time I've learned to accept that I'm not going anywhere, and it's better if I don't pretend I'm calling it quits. At least, I save that kind of misery for another kind. I'm divorced but we live together, and that seems to work out well. If you're miserable, no real point to ending the relationship.
The emptiness I fell in my heart every time I listen to this song reminds me of the loneliness I feel each day, I wake up with out no one laying next to me!
I'm leaving this message on many George Winston songs in the hopes that someone owns/will upload "Rain" from his Winter to Spring (?) '82 album. If anyone has this file or CD, please do all us Winston fans a favor and post it! Thank You! :D
Thank you for posting.... George Winston's music is angelic....."Remembrance" is perfect...... RIP Gene, love you forever!!!! Happy Father's Day:*) I can feel your smile, sense your hug.... You remind me to stop and smell the roses, to enjoy the journey.... may you have all the ice cream and cookies you want in heaven, and I'm sure the scuba diving's out of this world:*) Til we see each other again... hugs and smiles....

Shame that George Winston is so talented but takes no time to shake hands or sign autographs for his adoring fans! My sister and I were the only two trying to get an autograph. He would not do it. I have been to Metallica concerts where hundreds are standing in line for an autograph and they sign everyone. Such a shame...no people skills. For that, I have not bought a single album since 1997.
Unfortunately you are sad about his behavior. Maybe you let him his liberty to decide how he want to manage his live and the contact with fans?
I understand his reservation. It is not against the fan, it is because art needs attention every second, and people can disturb that fragile treasure contact.
@dontbsillytry not to postulate on a persons's motivtives. Just allow the beautiful talent to come through. Don't react to actions that are not directed at you.
@dontbsilly how insensitive you are. Did you consider GW may just be protecting his hands. And, like many artists he may prefer that we enjoy his music and forego his public persona. He is a genuine artist sharing his talents. So if you want autographs go see justin bieber and leave the real art to the sincere patrons
Thank U for sharing this! Have been listening to his music for years and I can't even remember exactly where or when I purchased his music, but I was living in Germany back in 1997-1998 and had a few of his CD's with me back then. I've added more to my collection and Thanksgiving/December still sit at the top of my shelf!
george winston is one of my favorite musicians. he has talent that goes beyond the piano and slat key guitar. he also plays a mean harmonica. it is a real honor to see him perform live. love his stuff! post more!

I literally have given a kid my guitar in an open "slack key" tuning and they can play just like this. This guy is a talentless freak whether he is abusing the piano, guitar or harmonica. Frank Loyd Wright referred to the people who make up his audience as, not The Masses but The-m-Asses
Do you sense someone as jealous as hell of one of the most talented and revered musicians of our age? Maybe Ted Kazynski's opus set to music is more his style. I come away from Winston's music feeling clean, peaceful, happy and strengthened.
Why don,t you just shut that hole under your nose gtbouch!!!! I bet you haven't even heard him on piano, you just jeleous you doun't have the musical skill like he does.
Secondly, didn't Frank Lloyd Wright die in 1959? Just curious, because I don't think he made it to a George Winston concert, nor did he take a moment to address the make up of an audience that would not form until 20 years after his death.
You with me here gtbouch?
Winston's a Folk Pianist, not "Freakin' Van Cliburn" for cryin' out loud! Remember what your mother said, "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all."
when my daugher born the same day i hear this beautiful song with the baby in my arms, will never forget this song, never!!, thank you for this video audio, i lost this album, i will try to buy!!!!!

Everywhere I go I leave your trace with me,
around me,
breathing like the winter air,
on the discontent of my memories,
take me away with you,
whoever you are.

In late 2001 Goran Kralj of the Gufs wrote a song about the 911 events that is eerily similar to this song, with the same title. Coincidence?
