  • Actually Appalachian ( though with possible Irish kinship) originally performed in Ireland by the American group Pumpkinhead resident in Sligo in the 1970s. Previously recorded by Peggy Seeger in the 60s.

  • beatiful, sweet,kind honest,funny,bubbly,horny,drea­my, energising and a true dedication to irish song folkore which has escaped ireland for soo long, this song sums up what it means to be truly irish and for that im eternallt grateful to t with the maggies, i hope it gets as much coverage and air play time as it rithfully deserves, this is a song that needs to be cherished,respected and put up on a pestal that no one or country should ever rob from us again.peace and love
