@Zatracenec Well, Stuck a pig means, Shooting a big buck with an arrow. Recurve hunting is very difficult and when you can harvest a big buck and all your work has paid off from hunting hard you will react the same way.

@StrongOHCUMGACHE I dont shoot traditional,but i have had bad days where i missed several times with my compound,and felt like giving up..but when i finally hit one,man it was the greatest feeling ive ever had..When you see people on tv shoot a pope and young buck, thats how i acted after i shot that deer, and it was just a doe and not my first deer with a bow either. Never give up.Remember you learn from your mistakes. And believe in yourself.

We have a MONSTER 8 and a solid 10 pt on camera with a bunch of other 8's, 9s, and 10+ on Camera...all Maryland Deer. I have already shot a 7pt this year and we are just looking to start video taping our hunts. Love all the videos guys. Its good stuff because its realistic unlike the shit you see on tv. Im looking to get a recurve bow this summer. Any suggestions? And also what do you use for a camera?
@44CBurns Every bow fits differently. Try some out and dont go big on the poundage unless you can pull the whole way back without it stacking. None of us shoot the same bow. We use hardrive HD handycams by sony.
@mthunter95 Stacking is when you start having trouble pulling the bow back to your anchor point. Once you exceed the draw length your poundage goes up. Say a bow is 45lbs at 28" draw length. If you have a 30 " draw length you will have to pull more poundage than 45lbs to get to your anchor point. Thats when some people have trouble getting to thier anchor point because the poundage is to much to smoothly pull back the bow back.
@Leatherwoodoutdoors My understanding of stacking is when your bow becomes exponentially harder to pull back. You are right about bows losing or gaining a pound of weight for every inch you increase or decrease your draw length but I don't think thats what they mean by stacking though.
@ariskk88 Thats what I ment when you have trouble pulling it back near your anchor point. I was just saying about the poundage incase a someone didnt know that when looking for their first recurve.

@Leatherwoodoutdoors Love this video. real emotion, which is what is all about. had the same experience this season. I use a Sony hardrive camera as well. What editor do you use to get such good quality results. Mine gets degraded as you can see in my video posts.

That is one of the BEST video's with real emotion very similar to my first big buck. If you dont have emotions like that, I would seriously check out why you are out there in the first place. You are right nothing beats the anticipation, planning, and reward spirtitually you get from bow hunting. Keep it up, and keep it real, not like some of those ass clowns on the Outdoor channel

@Leatherwoodoutdoors My understanding of stacking is when your bow becomes exponentially harder to pull back. You are right about bows losing or gaining a pound of weight for every inch you increase or decrease your draw length but I don't think thats what they mean by stacking though.

@ariskk88 Thats what I ment when you have trouble pulling it back near your anchor point. I was just saying about the poundage incase a someone didnt know that when looking for their first recurve.

I applaud several of the other hunters who have posted comments for recognizing the honest spirit and true talent which shines through in your videos, when compared to the hunts viewed on mainstream outdoor channels. More so, my thanks extends to you gentlemen for not only chasing whitetails with traditional tackle, but bearing the burden of cameras to capture the hunt for all of us to learn from. @Leatherwoodoutdoors Love this video. real emotion, which is what is all about. had the same experience this season. I use a Sony hardrive camera as well. What editor do you use to get such good quality results. Mine gets degraded as you can see in my video posts.

Your videos are better then shit i see on espn/versus deer shows,specially cause its pa. I hunt in clariton and jefferson hills pa. Where you guys got land at? My dad use to have a camp in Marienville,i wish he never sold it yrs ago,i heard deer hunting in mountains isnt that gd anymore,is that true?

That is one of the BEST video's with real emotion very similar to my first big buck. If you dont have emotions like that, I would seriously check out why you are out there in the first place. You are right nothing beats the anticipation, planning, and reward spirtitually you get from bow hunting. Keep it up, and keep it real, not like some of those ass clowns on the Outdoor channel
