This dude used to be the most unique nigguh in the rap game in my opinion, now he just like all the other mass produced shit out there. His talent died out when he lost his dreadlocks, Busta was the rap game's Samson.
If you dont know what he is talking about you aint gonna know. In the time we live in you cant evaluate how successful a project was based on sales because a large majority of the people listening to the music and that have possession of it did not buy it. You cant get around buying a ticket for a show or searching the internet, so to get the most accurate assessment the best data to look at would be be things like attendance to shows, website visits and downloads.
You can tell he's kinda embarrassed. The album was wack man. Wasn't very "Busta-like" at all. Only one song on the album, "Wheel Of Fortune" was hot. Dude needs to loose some weight, and grow those dreds back. Then he'll really be ready to get back on his B.S.!
damn busta.....gotta lay off them red bulls son......leaves your brain dry and depleted.
"I received superseeds.....on statslevel.....that was received....from....the receiver....cause I received them....... Busta had a blunt in his hand which is why the cameraman couldn't lower the shot and dudes in the back of him was waitin for busta to pass it......busta was the only dude high here. I can go on for days. Busta probably had to take a shit and was trying to answer the question right.
i was never into that hiphop thing, more rock, metal and stuff.
then i accidently heard hit em high from that space jam soundtrack and bustas part blew me off.
the coming, when disaster strikes and E.L.E was imho more avant garde in hiphop, like primus is in rock.
not easy to listen, rough with edges but new, interesting to hear, crazy sh;t.
he made enough albums to make his music the way he wants. shure its more mainstream and its not sellin' but it is his own fault. perhaps he just gettin old.
2 minutes and 51 seconds of nothing... All that he had to say was, "Yeah, we frisbee'd it out there... No one caught it..." But nah, that nigga's ego just wouldn't let a straight answer come out...
fuck man busta is ma all time favorite but all his new shit SUCKS the coming, when disaster strikes them are tha best now he only rapping to be popular bak in tha day he rapped to be good his best shit was when he raps about shit you have no idea wat he talkin bout.
I don't think it's terrible. I like it. But it's just rap, which is what turns me off about it. His older CDs were... not. They were beyond anything rational or real, but they made a crazy kind of sense. I miss that. Not to downplay his new album at all, but he used to be original enough that even people who don't listen to rap at all owned his CDs. He didn't make just rap, or raggae, or dance music. He made his music, and there wasn't anything else like it.
ok , to filter the B.S. basically busta means that even though he's legendary as an artist, the album tanked "sound-scan stats wise" these days music lovers just aren't going to stores and buying cd's at $20.00 a pop when they can get free downloads ya know but everyone still loves his music and sell out just about all his shows so its not really a huge loss for busta. Literally, you only get pennies per unit sold. As an artist i know the money is in the shows.
A lot of people saying Busta probably retire, but I look at hip-hop artist on tv now, and I see no one that measures up to Busta's skill and rawness, he is still the same Busta that we all know and love, he just adds on to what he all ready is, he is one of the G.O.A.T.s of hip-hop, rather if you like him or not you gota "Respect his conglomerate".
I have to agree with that to a certain extent. He was the wild, funny guy. He didn't have to act like everybody else. But I think he's gonna make a comeback at some point.
@ 0:39 to 1:10.....WTF are you saying Bus????? "the measurement cant even be measured"?????......what kind of ebonics backwards riddler talk is this...My ears are bleeding....your whole statement was B.S.( same title as your album)...yes with pun intended....lol...J.K.
i don't really listen to his music especially not anymore but he knows what's up he knows how to do good in music business...i might even get back on my bs now lol
I want him to dread out again, he was hotter than the sun before he cut his hair.
He went from a slender, muscular, street cat, to a different person, but I still dig on him.
