Good news for Amiga fans! A new REAL Commodore Amiga is in the works and will be available soon. Why settle for a wanna-be-Amiga by some fly by night operation when you can have the real thing from Commodore? For more info just visit commodoreusa d o t net!
Holy sh*t! I knew AmigaOS was efficient, but -- damn! That's some seriously fast reboot time. The more I use Windows, the more I hear the words of the Sex Pistols in my head, "Ever feel like you've been cheated?". With the speeds of modern PCs, Windows really should be running ALOT faster.
I would install AmigaOS... i have ver. 3.9 but i won;t run install disc on my laptop... i have intel processor... it;s exactly BenQ JoyBook R55E. Even on VirtualBox it can't run :(. I don't know where to download that OS for intel processor.
@siggisveiti Are you twelve years old or what? People doesn't use Amiga because they can't afford Windows, they use it because they CAN USE IT and enjoys doing so.
fassssssttt - like 8 secs or something.. my emulated amiga boots faster tho :p love your videos mate keep it up, Im going to make one too - altho my main problem atm is OS3.9 I cant get OWB to run which makes it useless for browsing nowadays
When you turn the computer on how long does it take to boot from a totally off state. When the web browser is started how fast can you browse? Both of my computers take atleast 2 1/2 minutes before I can surf the web. How big is OS 4.1? If my TIVO has a Power PC in it why can't I run on the machine. What does the motherboards have on them?
I like AmigaOS, I even like the splash screen over Vista's and XP's splash. Also the Mac OS X style dock is very nice. Very fast compared to my 2.8 GHz Core 2 Duo with 3GB of RAM which takes about a good 20 sec. to boot completely

@nicolunacba and your computers run faster than this Amiga on the video. It is running at less than 1 Ghz (either 800 or 933 Mhz I think).
elwoodfr 1 year ago
@elwoodfr yeappp but remember: that's a powerpc :) It's a different comparison between PPC and Intel. Anyway, my computers are faster :P

About 8 to 10 seconds.. depends whats in the startup sequence. over 2 minutes seems like a long time if you have a windows pc.
cant help with your other questions sorry.
