I don't get why so many people are pro-Noel OR pro-Liam, personally I think both of their bands are amazing and are both producing brilliant music and yes, I would love an Oasis reunion, but until that day comes I'm very happy listening to their solo projects, I do think that both band's music is of Oasis quality. The reason why most people are like that is because Noel was the genius songwriter and brains of Oasis, also the only person keeping Liam in line and in check. Liam was the genius frontman who is also a good songwriter e.g. Songbird and Little James are priceless masterpieces but Noel has spent alot of his life, even before Oasis keeping control of Liam. When you reach a certain age you don't want anymore of that.

@crapple009 I was never a big fan of Ride (just not my type of music really), but Andy is a fantastic songwriter. "Thank You for the Good Times" (the B-side for Stop Crying Your Heart Out) stands up there with the many of the best Noel B-sides for me.

Andy also wrote The Beat Goes On, Four Letter Word and Kill for a Dream. 3 of my 4 favourite Beady Eye songs were written by him.

So very average. If this was a new band, without the attached Oasis history, they'd get nowhere. This is OK at best. Bland tune, and lyrics like the bad poetry of a fourteen year old. Makes James Blunt sound good, and by Christ that takes some doing.

i prefer this type of song- narrative lyrics, progressive fluctuating beats, bored with some of the other new stuff which is super repetitive, shouldn't be automatically bored with stuff i'm hearing for the first time- there should be more to the "story" to pick up on with subsequent listens. hard work pays off with bigger rewards, don't fall back on a fixed formula or single strand of lyric- a contemplative song needs multiple lines to offer interpretive moving room betwixt them.

High flying birds are making decent music, you've heard MAYBE 2 of their songs as that's all they've released and you've formed an opinion on them?
