These "hippies" look conservative by today's standards. No one in these scenes has any green or purple hair or visible body piercing. And not one woman in this episode has a tattoo covering more than 15% of her body surface area. Yep, pretty conservative. :-/

The cops mistaking them for being under 18? LOL They were both in their late 50s at the time. The writers must have thought they were writing or "The Twilight Zone", instead of "The Lucy Show".

I just watched several sets of clips! Seeing Lucy with Viv, Dean Martin and John Wayne brought back great times of my childhood! The 60's was a fun time for TV!

From what I can tell, both were in their mid to late 50s. Gotta give them credit for being able to move as well as they did. You can they worked so well as a pair. You should catch them in the shower stall in an earlier episode. They are installing a shower door in the bathroom and Lucy almost drowns. Viv saves her life on camera!
