About 30 years ago, I started a project similar to this. It was a '65 Barracuda. I cut a Dodge pick-up frame in half. 'was going to put this 392 HEMI engine under the dash. 'Ran out of resources to finish it though. I'm sure it would've made a good drag car. This sure is nice. Good Job!
Didn't some 392's come from the factory with dual quads? I think they did, and I think that this is indeed a 392. That thing must FLY, and being the 1st gen Barracuda I'm sure it surprises the hell out of a lot of unsuspecting stop light racers who assume that the meanest thing it could have in it is a 273 maybe a 318 tops LMAO.
I love the car. nice job. I had question. Im working on a 66 myself..I see you chopped the hanging skirt off the fenders..I'd like to do that to mine...can you give me a little more detail on how or what you exactly did there. thanx
haha agreed, you fuckin retard 426's were "RB" motors like the 440, 413, early 383, and 426 wedges. the distributors are on the front end of the block angled off to the passengers side, not in the back.
dist is in the rear on the first gen Hemi, this is one of those....the 426hemi wasa front dist like a wedge big block......just my 2 cents.....but it still runs hard!!!
