Efficient use of MP is why. Besides, at level 99, with faith status, full HP, and other such things, 7000 HP can be restored with cura. Curaga does 9999 cure. Utilize decoy and other things and cura makes for the most effective way to maximize MP efficiency. Besides, I love the sound effects of cura far more.
There is no Omega Mk 13. There an Omega Mark XII though and I do have a video of this (just the battle, not the 2 hours of struggling just to get there).
In the Final Fantasy series, healing spells like cura damage the undead. Spells that take HP from the enemy and transfer it to the caster (drain) have the reverse effect on the undead. The boss just happened to be an undead enemy and thus healing magic damages it. There's a gambit setup that allows for this too.
There are 3 treasures to avoid (4 actually, but you can't get to where the 4th one is): near Old Dalan, the palace (I just ignore them all in the palace), and the area where you get your weapons back shortly after that part. With that done, you just need to head into the Necrohol of Naubudis after retreiving the dawn shard. It's extremely dangerous this early in the game as the enemies regularly do 1000 damage. Even when you're level 99 this early, it's still quite a challenge.
Vaan's HP, at the end where I battle H Wyrm and Yiazmut gets to 14,000. The real maximum is probably about 16,900 or so, although this is unconfirmed (Basch would have this with Vaan almost like that).
Error: "WRPG meaning unknown". What is a WRPG? I've heard of 4 types of RPGs: RPG (a general role playing game), MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online RPG), JRPG (a Japanese-created RPG), and SRPG (Strategy RPG (like FFT)).
In that case, I wouldn't know. I can't tell if a game is Japanese made, American made, or otherwise. I have no idea if "Might and Magic Gates to Another World" (on the Genesis) is American or Japanese. It really shouldn't matter where it originates anyway - a game is a game.
I'm referring to the Brady Games guide (didn't I mention this)? For the many games I don't have the book guide to (like FF1 and FF5 when I first played them), I use GameFAQs. Even if I do have the book guide, I still sometimes check GameFAQs because they have guides with details you won't find in book guides. I only use guides on my second and later plays or, if on a first play, only when I'm stuck (and on the first play, only to get unstuck, as I had with FF5 and FF1).
I had leveled like this in FFXII, and there were still a few bosses gave me some trouble. Like Ahriman, and Dr. Cid. Hashmal gave me a bit of trouble when I got to him, but they were still beatable.
Yiazmat and Hell Wyrm gave me the most trouble. I actually did die a couple of times when fighting them.
I finished Yiazmut in about 5 hours (half my previous case - the end was difficult due to the enemy dealing massive combos and instant death (and there's no known protection against instant death in this game). H Wyrm was down in 40 minutes, 30% of my record. I have videos of these, but they have yet to be processed. H Wyrm is actually my favorite of all bosses in the game... until the last 1 million or so HP that is.
yea. Hell Wyrm is a pretty cool boss, up until the end, when he goes on the major defensive. That's the same case with Yiazmat. They aren't really that hard on complicated to beat until you get them down to the last million or so health (Yiazmat being the last 5 million)
I'm not sure about Omega though, I've never fought him in FF12. I've heard he's pretty annoying to beat though.
I've felled Omega Mark XII quite well actually. The trick is to use both Lure (the decoy spell) and reverse active as much as possible on your main damage dealer (Vaan in my case). H Wyrm's frequent use of "invert" and Yiazmut's instant death at the end are the only real annoying things about them. They're both a fun battle until then. If I got my "extreme HP and MP" game going (where I get practically the most HP and MP possible), it'd be even more entertaining....
While there is no way to completely avoid it, being under Shell status diminishes the chance of being affected with status effects, even instant death.
hey why don't you change cura to curaja? itg targets all enemies [undead] and does more than 8000 damage

You can't have a level over 99 in any FF game except 8 which caps at only 100.

Hey ulil, do you have any experience with WRPGs?

The W refers to it being western in origin, as opposed to J or E (eastern, as in cases of Korean and Chinese).

When you used a guide, did you go online or did you use a guide bought in stores? Do you visit GameFAQs sometimes?

Me too. I don't really use guides unless I feel I have to, or to learn about extras I didn't know about the first time.

I've actually noticed that from my first run at Yiazmut and you'll see it in the related video (when I get to processing it).
