@actofbalance English speakers act so silly over spelling mistakes. I'm just trying to get some info and help from these vids, I wouldn't have even noticed it, it's not such a big deal. Lets just try to stick with the point and purpose of the vid, instead of everyone picking up on ONE silly thing and running it into the ground.
@littlebit19801 It is ok, just a bit remark, that it is possible to tap about most things. The remark is actually not bad to make, because if someone use it in that way, they may tell their unconsious mind that it does not apply to them. Use of words can have that effect. so using except instead of accept may miss the point of acceptance.
I tried tapping for the first time last night. I went for a walk afterwards and felt so relaxed and my mind felt clear of all tension, I will definitely practice at this,
Brilliant approach and it links in well with several techniques I know & use. The only thing I might add is that when focussing on "the problem" to broaden that aspect to seeing it changing/disappearing/lessening/… whilst tapping I.e. don't burn the problem into your consciousness by focussing on it, but rather the vision of it changing and disappearing. This might seem nit-picky, yet our mind is a strong weapon – use it carefully: show yourself where you want to go not where you're at.
@palibaacsi It doesn't matter, people just like being smart asses. I hate when people correct spelling on the net. As if they speak with 100% accuracy all the time.
When English spelling starts making sense then maybe I'll take it serious.
Hi thanks for the video, can someone please tell me, do I really have to tap all the 10 points of EFT? Can I actually tap 6 points instead of 10 points? I would like to know the procedure of EFT, First I have to measure the intensity scale and secondly proceed to read the phrase in my mind and at the sametime tap all the EFT points? Is this how it works? Please advise.
@ucdc1 The reason why it matters is that someone may use fake treatments like this instead of real medical treatment. For example, someone with depression who would benefit from therapy or the use of a basic SSRI antidepressant might instead try this and end up with worse treatment than he/she could have received. This isn't as bad, since you can't hurt yourself doing it, but it's still hard to condone something that doesn't work better than placebo.
@BenkaiDebussy The "placebo effect" is the body's amazing ability to heal itself. No one involved with tapping denies the placebo effect is the "mechanism" that makes tapping work. The fact is, it does work. When you consider that doctors themselves attribute a great deal of disorders to psychosomatic causes, why would we not "condone" a method that helps reduce those causes? No one says to use tapping in place of traditional medicine but as self care which can greatly reduce symptoms.
@liz1060 You have a point, but the problem is that someone would have to believe that EFT tapping isn't the placebo affect in order to receive the placebo effect from it. Otherwise, couldn't you also just take a sugar pill and tell yourself that the placebo effect from it will help you?
It just seems strange that for the placebo effect to work with something like this you have to lie to someone about it working on its own merits. But like you said, placebo's DO get results, so who knows.
@BenkaiDebussy Yes, it would be great if we could just say to ourselves "go and sin no more, " heheh ... however, the explanation for tapping's effectiveness isn't necessarily a "lie" but rather a vocabulary from a different system of medicine than the traditional allopathic system. Tapping is basically a form of accupressure and as such, like most medicine, doesn't need to be understood to be used.

OK WE ALL GET IT, IT'S SPELLED ACCEPT AND NOT EXCEPT!!!!
I hate when someone makes one spelling mistake and 500 smart asses have to point it out in such clever ways and totally ignore the point being made.

@Dazzling29 Well we all know what the hell they're talking about by the context of the vid so what's it matter?

Amazing! Had level 7 backpain that went away with 1 round...am stunned and thrilled.

I like this a lot.
I was lucky enough 15 years ago to have tapping treatment to cope with ignorant neighbours. It transformed my quality of life.

@zaczac56 Sometimes it takes awhile, and you have to repeat it over days, not just in one sitting.

It's "accept" not "except" yourself. Spelling matters, folks. But thanks for the interesting idea.
