@TheSonicGod eh, this is a little late but meh. He's given a command to run to the right until he leaves the screen, then the level starts. Notice that when he outruns knuckles the level begins, and knuckles doesn't come running from the left back onto the screen.

@TestSubject06 Ah, yes. If certain sequence of events don't trigger, the game is left scrambling to do something when the player character is entering memory that isn't ready yet. Kinda like showing up early to a party, I suppose. Might explain all of the technical chaos in the background. lol

lol I always wanted to chase him down SO bad when I was a kid. I did this glitch it's pretty cool. Messes up the color pallet though and as soon as he goes off screen he's gone.

Tails is still controlable during the cutscene so you can take Tails, lift sonic up and chase Knuckles without going into Debug Mode
