Thank U very much for posting this! I am 35 and I only watched the 60's verson of the show... But I really like these old episodes -- great acting - good camera work with all the close ups... They do not make shows like this anymore - I WILL TAKE THIS OVER CSI any day.

Jack Webb really did work with police to learn their job, attitudes, stories etc. It may seem corny now, but Webb was serious about his character and his scripts being authentic as possible while still being 'dramatic' entertainment. If Webb had been a real cop he would have kicked ass.
