  • hes riding a bike on them drums. fuck yea

  • Im so fucking pissed that i didn't go to this, i knew of them and didn't even bother looking cuz i wasn't sure and just ugh! DAMMIT! it was near my birthday too! X( shit

  • Every time I hear this song, I feel like they are playing the noise that a watch's second hand makes for a metronome. It sounds awesome.

  • What on earth are MESHUGGAH doing at the the House Of Blues???

BB King will be turning in his lard.... Meshuggah need to start a House Of Metal!

  • they really dont move but hey who said you had to? theyre MESHUGGAH!!!

  • who ever did lights for this knew what they were doing

  • It's kinda funny. All his solos are usually improvised live. It sounded like he got lost or was drunk. That solo seemed kinda sloppy

  • there is no word for this music except meshuggah

  • cynic played there that day I think they were tour together

  • haha great show

  • Solo was amazing

  • I was there !!!

  • opeth is good live too

  • The Bass Players power stance is pretty Bad Ass

  • awesome that they're able to play the long version, over 7 minutes live

  • i seen them on this same tour in vancouver, their current live sound makes every song in the set sound so awesome and way better then the albums, i like the backdrops too.

  • I agree dude. Sometimes it's hard listening to the albums because their live sound is just SO good.

  • can't w8 for that live cd/dvd to come! :)

  • Live DVD Next month FEB 2010... can't fucking wait!!!! got to see them Twice Last year, couple of days apart in LA. I hung right behind the mixing board both nights and just took it all in. Totally blown away.

  • this was the best band ive ever seen live. ..and ive seen everything.

  • the dudes in the band said they make up different solos every time they play a show...

  • can you tell me exactly where they mess up?

i cant really hear any messing up,

do you even play an instrument?

  • @0AhmadMetallic0 are you serious???? i doubty you could play their stuff. not too mention in front of an intense live crowd. meshuggah is amazing

  • I've played in front of some pretty nasty crowds before, the whole "crowd effect" is bullshit if you ask me. It never bothered me at all, and I've only done like 8 live shows playing covers. I would expect guys who have been doing it for years as talented as Meshuggah to not have any problem with the crowd at all.

  • BEEEEEEEEEEEAMS OF FIRE SWEEP THROUGH MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!! THRUSTS OF PAIN INCREASINGLY ENGAGED!!!!!! pffff fucking brutal

  • I bet that song gave him his back injury...I tried that shit for the first couple minutes and damn was I tired.....back hurt too

  • almost played the entire thing...why doesn't Frederik remember his god damn fucking solos live lol. so annoying cause the solo for Bleed is one of my favorites and one of his best really. Best since DEI at least.

  • @ChrisMontante he does improvise every solo , but i agree its is a awesome solo on the album

  • This video is not even worth watching due to sound quality. Sorry man.

  • i must respectfully disagree. it is great enough for me to appreciate them playing the entire thing live.

  • :'( Awesome, i was not able to go to this concert, shame on me

  • I can almost feel the bass through the video... this would be THE best song ever written to feel every bass drum hit in your chest live. They need to make it back to do club dates in the UK. In a big way.

  • i saw them in bristol when they were only playing the 4 and a half min version and that was still the most brutal and intense 4 and a half minutes of my life. I can't wait to see the whole version. and yeah you can feel every bass drum hit thoughout your body-its absolutely surreal watching this live, easily one of the most difficult songs ever written to pull off as a band, live, without screwing up

  • "easily one of the most difficult songs ever written to pull off as a band, live, without screwing up"

you have no idea how right you are. that's why they are gods in our world.

  • Tomas Haake is not human. It's unbelievable that someone play the drums with that much speed and complexity.

  • and playing the cymbals and snare a quarter of what hes playing the double bass for 7 F'n MINUTES!!!!! I've tried this on my set but could only go for 3-4 min. before dying of leg cramps lol

  • E-P-I-C

  • Omg they played the whole version during this show, I had like a transcendental experience b/c every other one I've seen they quit the song when it gets slow. No, not this time. They played the entire beast...damnit I wish I could have been there so bad.

  • Dick looks so awesome in this video, just by the way he poses with his bass. XD

  • This looks like the best show ever...

  • fredrik thordendal. finally a metal guitarist who can really improvise...

  • hahaha, I love how in the interviews, when asked about how he does his solo's he's like, "on record...I improvise...and..live...I...improvise" lol

  • lorcarock festival. we goooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it sounds so god damn heavy slower

  • Gonna see them Live at the Sonisphere Festival!! OMG!!! AAAAAAAAH! :D

  • god meshuggah is so great. i hope i can see them live soon.

  • Im gonna see them live tommorow, gonna be fuckin awesome :D

  • i wanna go see them!

  • house of blues in anaheim didnt let the faceless play with meshuggah during this tour....i guess meshuggah is more family friendly than the faceless haha

  • this song makes me feel weird

  • wow 5:55 awesome stage lights...

    just saying lol.

  • how does fredrik get that weird slidey guitar sound on his solos? Is it just irregular sliding and bending or an effect also?

  • Are you referring to the solo played at 3:39? Or the solo that starts at 4:52?

  • I meant the 4.52 one, and similar solos like the one in Stengah

  • the guitar he had custom built, the "33" has a pitch shifter built into it, so when he fucks with this one knob it jumps around. So bad ass.

  • Holla! Rilonator666 beat me to it. His use of the Ebow is haunting. They are the heaviest band on the face of the planet. F# is disgusting. No lie, true story, saw them in Toronto and it was so bass-ey that it upset my girlfriend's stomach and she went to the bathroom and threw up! Meshuggah, so heavy they make your girlfriend puke.

  • \m/

  • Man, that is just BRUTAL

  • @iancollis7 They play in F.

  • you must be a good drummer then. and any true metalhead would be beheaded at the feet of meshuggah!

  • you are to be beheaded

  • Damn it, such an awesome song, live, and I wasn't there. This would have been an awesome b-day present had I known they were on tour. This was 4 days before my birthday. They were in my area the day after this :(

  • how dare you compare yourself to meshuggah

  • Thank you for this! I love Meshuggah!

  • Most insane groove I've ever heard in a metal song. I mean, in a song. Ever. And I doubt if I'll ever hear something like that in future, can't imagine existence of anything mightier. Nice upload - impressive recording for a cellphone.

  • AWESOME !!

  • Was there, their set was fucking awesome. Just wish it was all a bit louder. Good shit though.

  • Note to self : Get fucked up and go to the next Meshuggah concert.

  • Thanks for the cool video man !! Its awsome and wish I could have been there. I saw them live in SLC and they were badass! they opened for Tool.. Meshuggah has broken barriers of music that no other band has ever done .. Remember that.!

    peace

  • oh shit! i saw my freind... i almost went with him to this concert... i missed so much.... damnit

  • I just saw them last night in Denver, CO. Bleed was the second song they played. It was fucking sick!!

There not my favorite band, but there are the best live metal performance by far!

  • i want that background...

  • Sucks... I visited in San Diego from the east coast over this weekend and didn't even know they were there!

  • Sick man! Thanks for posting. Seeing em in Chicago in less than a week!

  • Chi-town show was Awesome!!!!

  • Man, i can't thank u enough for posting up these videos....i live in Mumbai (India), and i don't expect Meshuggah to turn their heads in this direction for atleast 3 years.....thanks man...

  • wow hey!

    cool! the greatest band!

  • OMFG.

they actually played the full song live and i missed it.

    life has no meaning now.

  • Lights out and then BAAAAAAM!!!

That show much have been absolutely nutbreaking skullcrushing heads a´ rollin brutally enhanced! Thanks for recording and posting. \m/

The DVD better have this set (at least a complete bleed) or I will be inconsolable to be honest. IF there will be a DVD he he he..

    Stay cool, bye.

  • Haha seriously, the Bleed music video cut out my favorite parts of the song and ended way too early imo.

It was a great show, my neck is still sore haha.

  • Word is, is that there's a Live CD/DVD coming out in Spring. They're using this headlining tour to finalize the footage/recordings. I saw them in Orange County and LA 2 nights apart.... Mind blowing to say the least. The set list was great and the full version of Bleed was awesome. They also extended the ambient section in Lethargica and actually left the stage while it played. Their quiet sections are there for a reason, it gives the crazy shit more impact, and creates a better live dynamic.

  • Bleed is such a bad ass song. I'm watching all your vids. Thanks for contributing.

  • finally a live version of bleed with the solo
