I suspect it is due to the "Jane" and Jon Astley thus representing "Tarzan" - man of the jungle...You'd have to know about these older films and the statement:
Jon Astley is not related to singer Rick Astley; he is, by way of sister Karen, the ex-brother-in-law of Who guitarist Pete Townshend, as well as the brother of recording artist Virginia Astley and son of noted composer Edwin "Ted" Astley. He is married to novelist Judy Astley (courtesy Wikipedia)
Been There, Done That, Whats next...unfortunatly for us "No Mas". The world was not ready for this guy. I was told that that he employed the talents of many a super star, to do work on this LP. Can anyone expand on this? {Eric Clapton Guitar solo Janes getting serious}
I've been looking for this song for ages. I remember it was used in a sitcom called Duet. The main character had a wacky sister named Jane. They used it in a weird montage.
Great song and great video. Most video and music from the 70's & 80's had more substance, creation and overall talent than 90% of the crapp from the 90's & 2K's.
yah, me too. I was a teenager. This was an awesome song, and this was like the golden days of video. What happened? You'd think that with video technology light years beyond what it was in the mid-80s we'd have improved music videos as well.
But all we got is some poorly dressed emo bands with camcorders now.
I LOVE this song and this is the first time Ive seen the vid= in several years. Thanx for posting!
I have a question...Did Jon sing the "you sexy thing you" line on the chourus of Hot Chocolate's "I believe in miracles (you sexy thing)"??? Ive been dying to know, but I cant find that info anywhere. Does anyone know?? It sure sounds like him and I think he may have been their producer, so I figure its highly possible.
Not able to find download via itunes or amazon. Bummer!
This song got stuck in my head!
