I hung out with his mom and dad .. At a restaurant near stoneedge skatepark (contest etc) they were so proud of their son .. They were excited about him in everyday! It was fun . Thank god for Ray!

Damn!!!! I had no idea he had passed away. My little brother had the first Powell Underhill as a mini. It sucks growing old. Ray was awesome.

It's a shame, he had a cool style. I used to ride his deck. It was a cool good concave. A real vert deck. Rest in peace Ray. I hope you find some peace and you're rippin' in heaven dude!

My dad used to work at the Metro Center here in Nashville, a place called "Inter Gravure Services" There was a sales rep for the company there named Raymond Underhill. He saw me skating in the parking lot one Saturday and he said "My son loves to ride one of those things!"

I met him not long after that, when he came home to visit. I still have the board he gave me for my birthday. He signed it "Happy B/day, Sk8 for life"

He was truly a great guy. RIP

I know! He was soo awesome! I've known his kid Keaton since 3rd or 4th grade. He was so nice when he tutored kids at our schol, and it's sad to see his name on the list of people who have died to pray for at our church :(. His wife was also very nice! You gotta love the whole family! lol :)

whenever i saw him he was always smiling and always had a good vibe about him,when i saw him skate vert he always seemed so comfortable like he could carry on a conversation with u when he was skating,this is really bad news,

One of the early "New style" vert skaters. He, Lasek, Way and McCay really ushered in the way vert is skated today. I remember boards growing another tail and switch stance came on strong because of Ray and others.

Well all be able to skate with Him one day. Hell be missed till then. R.I.P.

I can't say I was ever stoked over watching Ray skate. I usually fast forward through vert parts after watching them once. Yet Ray was still a big part of the scene when I was growing up and it's always tough and sad to see someone like him pass away.

Ray, You will be sorely missed. I looked up to Ray as i came into the sport in the late 80's. I know he's on the Vert ramp in Heaven pulling his lines. R.I.P.
