  • Why do those browns have colors like a brook trout

  • @sgroat96 For the same reason red wing black birds have some of the same colors as cardinals...

  • just got back from a trip out there, fished south boulder, and up in the canyons, had a blast, must have caught about 100 of those browns and rainbows, caddis and two bit hooker, dry dropper, what fun!

  • Them beautiful creeks are a natural heaven on earth

  • great vid small creeks and river rule!

  • I grew up in Brighton and me and my dad spent many days and nights fishing boulder creek, the browns there are beautiful, and enough big fish to make a trip there interesting!

  • NICE!!!! Used to fish Boulder Creek often when I used to live in Longmont. Miss it a lot. Now I fish a similar river in California by the concret jungle they call Los Angeles. River is called West Fork San Gabriel River. Love fishin tight creeks and rivers like that. Really good to be able to hone your casting techniques. Thanks for bringing back some memories. Peace.

  • at 2:04 it is a native redband trout a type of rainbow trout seperated from main species for centuries so they adapted into own species alot in oregon and california surprised to se them in colorado ive never caught one there.

  • @flamingrecon42 The reason you've never caught a redband in Colorado is because there are none. That is just an extremely young rainbow (cuttbow?) that hasn't lost it's parr marks yet. I will admit the resemblance is uncanny, and i'd love to fish for a real redband in oregon someday.

  • Thanks...you are spot on. No pun intended...OK, maybe a little!

  • I hav nice lil natives in the stream behind my house. havent tried fly fishing it yet. I will thought

  • beautiful trout up here in boulder and everywhere in colorado

  • thats always a blast using big dries...love it!!
