  • Joey is the best. No doubt about it. The best among all living and all the dead ones.

  • Sheer genius.

  • This is by far the best interpretation of this song i´ve ever heard in my life. thank you so much joey, joe and frank!!! god bless you

  • Fantastic!!

  • The concert promoters were gonna put a horse's head up on the stage for ambience, but they were afraid Joey might eat it.

  • This is the most pornographical music I ever heard in my life.

  • anyone knows who's the guitarist?

  • @shitfucksuck i wanna know it too

  • @shitfucksuck its Frank Vignola

  • @BeatBay thanks

  • This is great. It's nice to hear a Jimmy-Smith-like organ-style today, though Joey DeFrancesco is way more than a clone. Love this.

  • I love hearing the guitar and hammond together. Run that guitar through the leslie too!

Very nice. I can't wait to get my Hammond back online so that I can rip up the Godfather theme too!

I wish Joey would have did some keyboard riiffs too.

  • bravo..ciao

  • these might think that are playing this song in Jazz style, but in fact it sounds like ugly russian shanson

  • Fantastic !

  • OOHH ,,very cosa pasta!!,italien style--Great tune--

  • @oldmaghrebian lmao?

  • @oldmaghrebian

joey defrancesco doesn't feel??? if i only had as much soul as he's got in his toenail...

  • What does make you think you don't have?

  • @oldmaghrebian

Jep, they feel alot, but maybe you`re not familiar with these playing, creative and jazzy feelings :)

  • @oldmaghrebian

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Having said that, I completely disagree with you. This is smokin'!

  • Joey at his best. LIked the bass variations during guitar solos. Love that Hammond sound.

  • I've just seen and heard Joey playing great trumpet with John Mclaughlin in 1993!!!

  • grandioso, great

  • Like that slow swing, like the tune. I always play it with my dad on saxophone in the Netherlands. Keep the swing rolling!

  • This is a nice , swinging idea to play this particular tune like this . I think the guy with the machine gun should take a chorus on the peanut gallery complaining about the "Clicks" and the superficial weight deal . You probably miss a lot of points that way , anyway .

  • gee.......Joey weighs as much as the Hammond....

  • but as a musician he weighs even more..

  • A B3 with a Lesslie 122 weighs 450 pounds. a C3 weighs about 475. I'd say Joey weighs about as much as that too. But, he is such a good organist!

  • Is the guitarist Julian Lagage?

  • No, it's Frank Vignola.

  • This video deserves way more views

  • Joey D! The BIG! He rules the Hamond like no one else!

  • I like this but that "buzzy-buzz blippety-blip" noise in the background is highly annoying.

  • It sure is

  • Loving it. I only learned about Joey a few days ago while randomly browsing Youtube. Best find ever, I must say. :P

Frank (I think) also does a fine job.

  • godfather rules

  • Great Stuff - Is there a DVD of this concert available ? Also does anyone have the clip of "All The Way" by this trio - it was on tube earlier but cant find it now ?

  • the best great great

  • Il Padrino, dunque si dondolando così fresco. ... il ringraziamento lei!

  • those bass pedals!!

  • ...make 'em an offa they can't refuse...

    or...

Just when I think I'm in...they pull OUT all the stops.

  • Not to mention Joey didn't explore many sounds from his B-3.

But they all sounded great, and if nothing else there were some of the best solos I've ever seen.

  • I'm seeing these guys Saturday. I'm really psyched.

  • How were they? Did they play this song?

  • They were ok. I was surprised to see it was Joey, a new drummer and a key playing keyboard (don't remember their names) and a girl came out and sang for a few songs. The solos were phenomenal, but they came out too hot too quick. Unlike this and the others online, they are all different. Last night it was all the same, except for one or two slow songs.

  • Kill me godfather...

  • what a groove man!!!!

  • he is a music of art

  • After listening to this a dozen times, you can just hear how every note he plays is there for a good reason and in good timing.

Can anyone recommend another song of his?

  • "open House" Joey DeFrancesco trio 2006. To understand him, I feel one must listen to him when he is just playing for himself, as he is in the cited video. Best wishes, Jeff

  • Anything he does is great. Just buy one of his albums or youtube his name. But this concert is some of the best stuff i've ever heard from him. And what a trio!!! There is basically this whole entire concert on youtube.

  • @davidos90 Have you listened to the album "Joey DeFrancesco and Joe Doggs?"

  • I am so in agreement with most of you that have posted. Joey is the best. Everything he does is so cool and swinging!

  • in my estimtion they don't come any better. he's a master at his craft

  • Joey DeFrancesco is the best!

  • IL PADRINO GRANDE!!!

  • Yeh!! The God Father...

  • nor is your grammar
