kinda late commenting on this but in my opinion having your mind made up to change someone into what you want is setting urself up for failure. what i do believe is that you can address bad habits that may become a problem in the future, give a new insight to a certain point of view, or both persons in the relationship to a healthy step towards engaging in something new that will in turn make them a better person.

If your partner doesn't like it, then find someone who will put up with the way u are. If the way u act comes naturally without thought, then u should just stay that way. I also think that is selfish to try and change someone. But you have to consider if the fact that when you first meet someone they don't show you everything. Then a few months go by and things start to come to light. If you let that person know what you feel about it, it's up to that person to change. And if they love that person, and they still don't want to change, then that person is selfish. Just my opinion.

...In fact a person who tries to do such a thing should really look into changing themselves for even trying and thinking they should change another person. I wanna give the Ocean Boys some props though. You guys are real , honest, down to earth and positive black males . And you are much needed. Don't change at all.

I think it selfish both wayz. But for tha person who tryna change you, it depends on what their intensions are. If there tryin ta help make you a better and stronger person then ur being tha selfish one, not only to them but to urself. When ur in a relationship and u love sum1 it should only bring out tha gud in u and u should want ta change ur bad habbits into gud.

i agree wit u.. i do think that its selfish both ways because if someone doesnt want to adjust one little thing to make the relationship better.. then probably they didnt plan to stay in the relationship for long newayz.. n if some tries to change the person they are with they are selfish beacsue they dont love that person for who they are if they wanna change them all the time

I agree with you guys and a lot of the other commenters. Now, I'm a female and I think it's cruel for a woman to go and take a shower, put on some braw and panties and get in the bed and say some shit like that. Come on now. Anyway, and far as the whole changing someone. Stop....don't do it. If you make the choice to to be with a person, don't try to change the person, Just change your choices. It is very selfish to try to do something like that.
