I can't agree with this huge construction, just bcoz, 1) The construction is so close to the holy mosque that our look and concentration goes straight to those luxurious towers even during Tawaf, 2) There is no longer any historical sites that we, as a muslim would expect to see, 3) The base and Podium of the towers are totally Europian and western styled(but, code-named world class) which putting off our SPIRITUALITY!!!++making it into one of the most visiting holiday site...

Pilgrims want to be as close to the kaba as poss especially after paying so much money to go to Mecca.

hi iam from australia i was der hajj 08 and stayed in zam zam sure it was a great place nice a clean very modern n stayed in a nice suite and that wasnt the best there is still much higher than wat i stayed in but i totally do not support this kind of stuff hajj is supposed to come hard you cant have it on a silver platter i went in 2004 as well n it was a trash bomb mecca i stayed in the shamia next to haram 3 star hotel n had the time of my life

Dear brother no doubt Saudi Govt. doing lot for pilgrims. But this building will not facilitate pilgrims in any way. An ordinary pilgrim cannot afford to buy food in this tower, how he can stay. This is only for rich and luxary accomodation. I know this project in very detai.. very frankly architects of this building are not muslims.
By the way they R studying an underground project hopefully it will be executed soon enough so the prices of the hotels near Ka'aba will go dawn and transportation between Arafat ,Muzdalifa and Mena will be much easier and the Environmental pollution will be Reduced .

I do agree the height and place is something that doesn't look right. But all of you brother know that the Gov needs money to run the two holy mosques and on top of it Hajj site had to be constructed. Did you not notice how Menna and Arafat served the Muslims? It served them beautifully. Now you have three floors to perform "Umra" which is wider than ever. And thats not all, they have to redesign the roads of Makkah. @yahummalaly I agree with you Sir. Money to run both the holy mosques have to come from some where which is a halal source. I do understand the height and place is not what we would have liked but they need the money to run the two mosques. Gov has spent SOOO much on Mena and Arafaat which really really helped EVERY single Muslim in performing their Hajj. Agree? So the money has to come from where? rather it would be good for them to see us pray, so they can reflect & ponder! this aids in dawah. i to was a non Muslim 10yrs ago. & besides, its not like they will be in/on the building, only Muslims allowed in Mecca & Madina.

I can't agree with this huge construction, just bcoz, 1) The construction is so close to the holy mosque that our look and concentration goes straight to those luxurious towers even during Tawaf, 2) There is no longer any historical sites that we, as a muslim would expect to see, 3) The base and Podium of the towers are totally Europian and western styled(but, code-named world class) which putting off our SPIRITUALITY!!!++making it into one of the most visiting holiday site...

If the ummah wasnt growing, then maybe i would agree with the muslims that have a problem with all the construction work taking place.
Pilgrims want to be as close to the kaba as poss especially after paying so much money to go to Mecca.
We can put the bros who oppose the building work in a hotel far away from the haram, and they can walk through the blazing sun to catch the salaat's, thats if they catch them in time.

Muslims went to Mecca to seek peace from Allah, while appreciating the Islamic architecture of Masjidil Haram, the beautiful minarets and marbles and the scene, we are not going to be impressed by towering block of Manhattan style towers in Mecca, it will be such an insult! the large tower is UGLY! worst design ever, it destroys the beauty of Mecca!

hi iam from australia i was der hajj 08 and stayed in zam zam sure it was a great place nice a clean very modern n stayed in a nice suite and that wasnt the best there is still much higher than wat i stayed in but i totally do not support this kind of stuff hajj is supposed to come hard you cant have it on a silver platter i went in 2004 as well n it was a trash bomb mecca i stayed in the shamia next to haram 3 star hotel n had the time of my life

Dear brother no doubt Saudi Govt. doing lot for pilgrims. But this building will not facilitate pilgrims in any way. An ordinary pilgrim cannot afford to buy food in this tower, how he can stay. This is only for rich and luxary accomodation. I know this project in very detai.. very frankly architects of this building are not muslims.

By the way they R studying an underground project hopefully it will be executed soon enough so the prices of the hotels near Ka'aba will go dawn and transportation between Arafat ,Muzdalifa and Mena will be much easier and the Environmental pollution will be Reduced .
