This song is amazing and so are How kind of you / Promise To You Girl / See your sunshine / feet in the clouds and many others. Thank you Paul, these songs are making me so happy!
"Nobody to tell me what to do, no one to hold my hand...
Nobody here to spoil the view, interfere with my plans... Bellamy's got a job to do and he's hope'n you'll understand..."
I love the poetry behind the idea of an old man that sees/is in his own Utopian world but is prevented from living in it and being happy because of the evils/realities of society. This song is like a brilliantly performed musical version of "Don Quixote". Yet another timeless masterpiece from Sir Paul McCartney.
why is the album called Memory Almost Full. It hardly seems so according to his awesome music skills that he still has! He's just being modest i guess. His memory will neva be full.

@AmandiMasen I believe he got the idea for the album title from seeing the text "memory almost full" on his cell phone display because the message inbox was getting full.
@FrodoBaggins3986 stop compairing justin bieber to paul mccartney. justin bieber has good music for his genre, not saying i like it, by i have to admit it. paul mccartney has a COMPLETLY different style of music, you cant compaire it to another genre like bieber's.
Mr. Bellamy was released in may 2007. Chocolate Rain in april 2007. But the last recording sessions for MAF was done in april 2007, and McCartney started working on the album in 2002. It's not very likely that Zonday or McCartney have "learnt" a thing or two from the others song.
I just came across this song in a Alex Pardee video. I thought It was a new song... Then I followed the song, and found it was by the great Mr. Paul McCarney. No wonder It sounds so amazing.
I like your sense of humor, Sir James. Can I send you a C.D. of what I'm doing to the MPI address? Would you ever hear it, or are you still fixing that bell?
ok can people just let go of the beatles. the band broke up 40 years ago, john's been dead for 29 years now, george for about 8 years now, enough with the "well the beatles would had made this a killer song" wishful thinking its a great song on its own, just let it be
It's true, man, but don't let go of Paul McCartney. He's really good and yet he's still touring and recording new songs - the man is still quite successful!
This is my favorite track from Memory Almost Full. Every time I hear it, it screams "The Beatles". Paul still has that mindset and it reflects brilliantly in this tune. It is very creative yet...eerie. You can almost hear the fallen Beatles within the harmonies and backing vocals. Paul cared so deeply about the band. Never wanted it to cease. He seems to harness the general vocals of George and John sometimes. I love this tune. So very Beatle-esque. Sounds like its from the Pepper or Tour era.
This song is completely amazing. I've had this whole album for months but never listened to anything but Ever Present Past, man am I glad I let it run to this song.
I just knew that Thom Yorke was invited to play with Sir Paul on this song and that he declined, I'm a completly Beatles fan and Radiohead fan... too bad that Thom declined the invitation...
yeah... the only reason thom declined was because he didnt think he was good enough. i think he would have been great and i- being a fan of both as well- would have loved it!
Love, love, love this song.

@CandyDate Mr. Bellamy is Heather Mills. "Mister Bellamy" is an anagram for "Mills Betray Me"

@JeffBeane I see. Isn't "Heather Mills" Supposedly "Rita" who allegedly cause Paul to "wreck"
