The US alone imports more oil from Canada than any other nation on earth,, then mexico, then Saudi Arabia, i figure the EU can easily start importing from other sources, Saudi Arabia and a couple others won't mind making even more oil, if it makes their nations prosper more. Global trade, it can be tough, especially when 26-30 trillion dollars worth of world gdp is saying they will not allow their people to spend an ounce of that $26-30 trillion on your nations product.

@andydrew105 The factor you're missing is that it is cheaper to import Iranian oil to the EU and even the US from Iran than it is from Canada. It's because labour costs and transportation costs are higher in Canada. (People need a living wage) Also as much oil as we have it is not light crude, therefore it is more time and energy intensive to refine it that other oil grades... that means more production cost. It isn't supply/demand it's at what cost.

This just gets depressing and depressing. The irony in all this is that Iran is signatory to the NPT and has a f'atwa' that they will not build nuclear weapon. Nevertheless, Israel along with India and Pakistan is not a signatory to the NPT and apparently has refused to allow inspectors. We just don't see that story in the media.

I personally don't see any reason to believe Iran is making a nuke.... What would Iran have to gain? Israel would just expose it with actual evidence and use it to justify an attack. The US alone imports more oil from Canada than any other nation on earth,, then mexico, then Saudi Arabia, i figure the EU can easily start importing from other sources, Saudi Arabia and a couple others won't mind making even more oil, if it makes their nations prosper more. Global trade, it can be tough, especially when 26-30 trillion dollars worth of world gdp is saying they will not allow their people to spend an ounce of that $26-30 trillion on your nations product.

@andydrew105 Canada has an estimated i think 1 trillion barrels of oil, the US estimated it has 500 billion in the dakotas. the US uses about 5.6 billion barrels a year, europe is more energy conserving, so less than that, heck if the US and Europe needed to they have at least 147 years worth of oil left without importing a single drop from anywhere else.(saying they combined use 10.6 billion a year) My point is just that EU and US don't neeeed oil, from iran, they just occasionally want it.

Considering they can just increase importing from another nation means iran oil is not needed. Good or bad, that I do not know, but i do know no one neeeds Iran's oil.

@andydrew105 The factor you're missing is that it is cheaper to import Iranian oil to the EU and even the US from Iran than it is from Canada. It's because labour costs and transportation costs are higher in Canada. (People need a living wage) Also as much oil as we have it is not light crude, therefore it is more time and energy intensive to refine it that other oil grades... that means more production cost. It isn't supply/demand it's at what cost.
