Good movie. Lots of cool action sequences. '13' isn't unlucky for all. For me it has been the opposite and pops up all over in my life and is usually very lucky.

I was named Michael after the Archangel and it appears in the Bible first at 13:13, although I am not really religious. I wore #13 for years in Baseball. I was born in 1-313 area code. I always pick or bet on 13 and have won so many times. Its my lucky number, if I have one.

As far as the movie, Seven Samurai is still better IMO.

HDNet Movies is showing it for free on their high definition station because they own Landmark Theatres who have the exclusive US theatrical release.

BRILLIANT MOVIE....just finished watching it....the action scenes are amazing, you will not be disappointed.

This trailer does not show how really good this film is....possibly 1 of the best Samurai movies I've seen, and I've seen many from Kurosawa's work till present day.

If you liked the Seven Samurai by Kurosawa you'll definitely like this one. Its non-stop action from start to finish.

Acting, plot, production etc get 2 thumbs up....can't wait to watch it again

The Eagles?!?!?!? That is horrible. Horrible music choice for the trailer. So cheesy. Totally wrong for the movie. Do Japanese people like this combination?

This is one of the most badass samurai films I've ever seen, the best Takashi Mike film I've ever seen, and it has moments of beautiful carnage and bloody tragedy that recall Kurosawa's RAN.

I saw it at the Rotterdam film festival (IFFR). They showed us the director's cut. It's his best work so far, I think. Not because it's more mainstream than most of his other work, which it is, but because it's a beautiful, brutal, epic masterpiece! Miike proves (again) that he is one of the most interesting directors of his generation.

This is out in Japan. Already a director's cut released too. It's an awesome film. Fantastic sword fighting, great story, great characters. Last half an hour is total bloody mayhem.

これもある程度ネタバレになってしまうが、ここまで、侍の世界を­、醜く汚く描き出せたのは中々。

尚古主義であったとしても、十分。

外国の人間が見れば、嫌悪感しか残らないだろう。

斬新さが際立っただけに、終わり方が残念。

ストーリーの内部から崩壊し、全てのことが無に帰して、見た人間­に虚無感しか残らないような演出が欲しかった。

多少ネタバレになりますが、吾郎さんのご乱心ぶりは「デスペラー­ド」と関連付けられると思います。賛否両論の当作品ですが、真面­目な始まり方をする時代劇を、このように大衆受けする宣伝に加工­したのは評価できるかと。

これを期に、時代劇が元気なジャンルになるようにと願います。な­んと言っても、侍モノは日本人の特権ですからね。

イーグルスはイメージソングだよ。だけど海外の三池ファンにはこ­れが馬鹿受けみたい。それに菊千代テイストの伊勢谷の演技なんて­、黒澤へのオマージュを越えて、バタ臭くも「時代劇」の固定観念­を打開してくれてるかのようで、むしろ好感触だね。
