My house is worth less than what I purchased it for 9 years ago(never refinancing). I have done $50,000 in remodeling and updating (home not including the mortgage payments of $129,600).
No one bailed out my neighbor, the single working mother of 3, who couldn't pay her bills. She lost her house and lives with her parents with her children. She lost her home just like 5 other families on my street.
Yet gov. expects me to pay while millionaires get richer.

They are buying mortgage bonds to free up money so that the economy can continue to function. Banks can't sell their mortgages because people are scared to buy them, so no one can get new loans because all of the money is tied up. They are not giving away money. Before you try and cause fear and panic, look into what you are even protesting against. The bailout has to happen, or economic failure will take place. Epic Fail.
I'm protesting against the plan as it currently stands. The plan must include protection for the American Taxpayer. Plus Wall street could pay for this themselves by incorporating a new tax on all trades. There is no need for the American people to pay and receive nothing in return except a bill. There are better ways of restoring the economy and that is a complete reformation to a system that isnt working. Change needs to happen. We cant simply keep pumping more money into the market.

Worst of all- The mother/neighbor I was talking about had an offer on her home for $5,000 less than what she owed on it. The bank refused to accept.
I just found out that the home was sold last month for nearly HALF of what she was offered 2 years ago.
I have written my congresswoman and urge all others to do the same. We elected them to represent us.
