The images I used are from Sidekick LX/08 themes I made, the sizes are 400 x 240/ 400 x 208. The theme links are on the description.

There's not an specific size to use for shells, but I used 400 x 240, same as for themes.

I've never bought 2 at the same time so I wouldn't know if that's true but I doubt it is. What I do know is that if you subscribe to their newsletter so they can send you e-mail ads and that sort of stuff, sometimes they send you promotion codes which you can enter when making a purchase for discounts.

how do you save them? also how do you get them in the gallery?

The last shell you make always saves automatically, to get them in the gallery you have to create an user name and be signed in before you make the shell.

on your first shell, you notice how when you preview the shell the outer sides stay white?

do you know if it ships like that or do they fill it in for you because it doesn't let us layer over those sides.

Yes, They ship out like that. That's why is better to pick a base shell that matches better with your images. I don't know why they don't allow to change the sides, maybe they'll fix that later on.

I don't know of any tricks specifically for the 08 but I know that most of the tricks for LX can also be done on the 08 since they have basically the same exact firmware. Try searching for Sidekick Lx tricks, a lot of videos will come out.

Shells are not available for the LX, what most people use are called skins or gel covers, you can try eBay or search on Goggle for Sidekick LX skins. Another option is to get your Sidekick recolored by colorwarepc-dot-com but be aware that their service is costly.

No, you can only buy the T-Mobile shells and the shells you've made. If a friend makes a shell you like you can get him/her to order an extra one for you.
