A shinobigatana is a curved sword much like a ko-katana. ie Short blade, long handle that draws faster than a katana yet has a longer sheath (saya) and handle to appear outwardly like a katana. This allowed the user to pass as a samurai in disguise but to draw their sword and clear the sheath faster than their opponent.
@scottbaioisdead A ninja-to is a straight sword derived from cheap, easy to dispose of weapons that were never heat treated (heat treating is what causes katana blade curvature). The ninja had to have cheap/disposable weapons and heat treated swords were expensive so they seldom had them.

Though I did get the sarcasm of the shuriken, the one is an 8 point (not 6 point Jewish Star of David) and the 4 point "swastika" is actually a reverse "swastika" and means completely the opposite of what the Nazi's corrupted the symbol's meaning into. Additionally the reverse "swastika" has been around long before Germany was even a country as an Asian symbol of good fortune.

Oh, just as a side note, the sword was a shinobigatana, not a ninjato. You are correct about it being more accurate.

@scottbaioisdead Actually, they are not the same sword. A shinobigatana is a curved sword much like a ko-katana. ie Short blade, long handle that draws faster than a katana yet has a longer sheath (saya) and handle to appear outwardly like a katana. This allowed the user to pass as a samurai in disguise but to draw their sword and clear the sheath faster than their opponent.

@scottbaioisdead A ninja-to is a straight sword derived from cheap, easy to dispose of weapons that were never heat treated (heat treating is what causes katana blade curvature). The ninja had to have cheap/disposable weapons and heat treated swords were expensive so they seldom had them.
