augh...the part about our failing school system is making me angry.the language santorum uses is indicative of the status quo: "rigorous",which translates to "BORING and HARD".math and science are the first programs in middle and high schools to have minimal requirements.the schools would rather teach about WW2 and the civil war a million times than require math and science.we are majoring in minors, i fear.

I always enjoy hearing these willfully ignorant shitheels exclaiming that "the climate has changed in the past therefore man is incapable of changing climate." I also enjoy the follo-up poopooing the role of CO2 as a greenhouse gas, even though research has demonstrated that one of the major reasons for huge climate shifts in the geologic past has been the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere relative to the amount sequestered in the ocean and in rocks.
