  • @leon8chicken she is basically saying that this is a rational set of numbers because it repeats :)

  • Half the video is a dumb intro and the other half is her writing the word Rational

  • Isn't she INCORRECT when she states that 5.252525... is RATIONAL?????

The repetition of the "25" 3 times after the decimal place could simply be a coincidence and the number at the dotted lines could be a completely different number (eg. 5.252525639)

Please correct me if I am wrong, as I simply want to get the concept correct, but if I am correct, I wouldn't trust these videos to handle much bigger, more advanced, concepts.

  • its kinda sad when the chick doesnt explain everything about rational and irrational numbers so everyone has to talk about it at the bottom :)

  • the guys better

  • can anyone tell me if the square root of 28 if rational or irrational

  • @foofoobrownie irrational

  • ........

  • Just be glad you MS and HS fuckers have youtube to turn too. Back when we were in school it was brutal if you got a bad teacher.

  • whale fetus

  • what she is saying is that if you have a decimal with same pattern it is considered rational even if it ongoing (........) verses a number like 4.98746383638........ because 4,98746383638 has no pattern it is irrational.

  • What.

  • argg my teacher made me watch a eductional vid on youtube as an assignment

    So boring

  • Wait.. But why is it rational? I know it can be represented by a fraction, but how? Something to do with 9's... Thats all I remember..

  • stupid bitch, the guy is way better than u

  • Simply:

Rational- A number that either terminates or repeats, and can be expressed as a fraction.

Irrational- A number that neither terminates nor repeats, and cannot be expressed as a fraction.

  • @ThePianoMasterz this helped me!! i have a quiz on this tomorrow.....any other help?

  • thumbs down...... very bad explanation

  • That was math for nazis, lol. She was so serious about it.

  • its simple people. rational just stands for ratio. 1-1 x 9 is 9-9 there for either nine or one are rational. the number she uses is 5.25, well 5.25 divided by 5 equals 1.05.

if it equaled a fucked up number like 1.245768787545 or some number like that, it is irrational, because it cant be evenly ratio'd. a rational number must either NOT be a decimal, or if it is a decimal, then it must repeats itself like .252525 or .333333, simple have one digit, like 5 divided by 2 equals 2.5. GET IT?!?

  • quite obvious, it is actually = 5 + 25/99 = 520/99 which is a fractional representation which is rational.

  • damn. that comment ?

that was years ago, man. holy fucking shit.

  • oh wait is five point two five, two five, two five, two five, two five, two five...

  • WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that didnt say shit. what the fuck is rational and irrational numbers.

  • thanx that helped me alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) lol

  • WTF IRRATIONAL NUMBERS ARE NUMBERS THAT ARE NOT TERMINATED AND RATIONAL NUMBERS ARE NUMBERS THAT ARE TERMINATED

  • This Is Some Retarded Shit.

    My Teacher Always Plays Her....

    Uhhh!

  • she looks like she has chalk in her ass

  • why is she angry ?

  • @leon8chicken their basically saying if the number isn't repeated its not irrational if it has a line above it it means its rational and has numbers between it.

  • this sort of helped but I'm the type of person who'd say...well how do we know its repeating the same beyond the ''...'' it could be 5.252525...25251

Does anyone understand what I'm trying to say ;)

  • what if it was just 5.25(without the extra dots)? wouldnt it still be rational? from what it says in the book: all numbers that can be written with a comma are rational. following that rule i can't figure any number that isnt rational :S

  • Wow five stars! Hey it's opposite day!!!

  • you suck lady

  • @leon8chicken hahahah it really didnt

  • Maaannn, she looks pissed!

  • hehehehe irush you now...

  • so uhh repeating decimals are rational and non- repeating decimals are irrititional waht about liek a refular number...

  • hilariously useless

  • thank you you helped a lot

  • ya me 2 , she just read the problem and said the answer , my parrot can do that !!!!

  • same...

  • wow, so i guess my teacher was wrong

  • dejavu544455544455, you are so stupid. she is here to teach MATH. not be hot. so shut the fuck up.

  • @yourboyfriendsajerk lol your right funny thig is that shes not even hot

  • @ThePhill98 lol ikr.

i mean who wants to fuck someone up the ass when they're teaching rational/irrational numbers?

    give the lady a break.

  • @yourboyfriendsajerk lol so true

  • @ThePhill98 Haha you're awesome man xD

  • @yourboyfriendsajerk lol u to

  • @yourboyfriendsajerk Did you seriously right his username... HAHAHA Nigga you FAYUL

    Faggots below this line

  • @MrDJRoey I did because I wanted to. So shut the fuck up, it's a free country, shithead. Cum chugger.

  • @MrDJRoey And you're a fail because you spelled 'write' wrong. Asshole. Go back to 2nd grade.

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh thanks

  • NICE though

  • wow......you must be your students favorite teacher.....i would hate to be in your class..........make math fun.....

  • 5.252525...

    Let x=.2525

the number repeats in a cycle of 2 digits

    Therefore multiply x by 100

    100 * x= 25.252525

    100 *x - x=99 *x

    99. x= 25.2525..- .2525..=25

    It implies

    x =25 / 99

    Therefor x is rational number

  • EUREKA! Piss poor text made it seem soooo complicated.

  • hahahaha yeah.

  • shes not even that hot dude.

  • we did this in a Botany experiment with 2 plants setting them up in the Fibonacci block pattern in the green house to see which plant would be the parasitic plant ... cheaters squares or (Law Escheater) Latin root form ESO- from within ... parasite

  • Is the following number rational or irrational?

    0.101001000100001000001...

where the nth digit after the decimal point is 1 if n is half of the product of two consecutive integers, otherwise it is 0.

  • Thank you I have test tomorrow this really helps :).

  • i'd be on my knees sucking her standing, and her student-orders to me all of a sudden are in german, not english, with the same drawl of hers. sigh.

  • I could do her...

    In the ass...

  • Every rational nonterminating decimal is a repeating decimal.

  • i dont understand

  • The real question is: Are there rational numbers that are nonterminating nonrepeating decimals?

  • feudal system: fibonacci block pattern-you get a new shipment of plants (health indeterminant) set it up in escheater squares (law of the land) non terminanting decimals refer (or infer) to where (on what ground substance) you placed the plant and whether (or weather/sunlight, moisture) the plant was already parasitic ... your movement (of plant or treatment/cure of parity 'cost') would be the rationalization ... continue to treat a ill plant without correction is your put-call

  • @jahdallah

sure, pick any integer or fraction of integers

  • The real question is: Are there rational numbers that are nonterminating decimals and nonrepeating decimals?

  • fuckin perra
