17-14 with Hog5 getting run down from behind by a corner from the slow Big 10. I'd probably be pretty bitter too.

1) "Repeated probation" - Only happened once. 2) Our ensemble's music is a priority, and we manage to put on a new show each home game. 3) We play music that people like. If you want to play something that puts the crowd to sleep, go ahead. 4) You heard 1 part of what I'd guess is a 7 minute cadence. 5) We don't qualify for Sudler because we don't use a lame roll step.

That The U of W sucks ass.... the are horrible, at the Capitol one bowl, your fans didnt even cheer your band on, they are too busy eating their words and looking like jackasses b/c they called the U of A marching band a highschool band.... wow were they wrong

Reasons Why UW band Sucks! - 1)repeated probation violations for hazing.2)terrible marching style,any music ensemble's first priority is music, so why jeopardize that with a bad marching style. 3)bad choice in music,when I saw them, they played a rock show. I believe that was even lame back in high school. 4)Cadence is very elementary, and rudimental. throwing in random sounds projected my the band members make it even worse. 5)ONE WORD. SUDLER. haven't gotten it, and probably never will

Wow! Sudler Trophy! If you won an award that the Northwestern Marching Band also won, you should feel embarrassed. The Wisconsin band is one of the only bands in the country that actually MARCH (high-step) instead of just standing and playing. Ask any "Bandie guru" what they think of the UW Marching Band... They're in the Top 5 in the country in all lists.

I would say the Sudler trophy is something to be proud of. Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, Oklahoma, are all schools that have won it. I also know that you cannot "hold a flame" to any of the aforementioned ensembles. Also, a high step style of marching is not holding you back from winning, as Ohio State, Michigan, Arkansas, and other Sudler winning ensembles also share this style. I would say what is holding you back is lack of tradition, style, and talent. Not to mention a detrimental attitude.

Wow, relytkce, what a pathetic argument. If you want to see a marching band competition go to a high school show loser, however if you want to see real entertainment from a band that enjoys what they do, watch the UW band. To say Wisconsin's band has lack of tradition, that's just plain stupid too. How many other bands get opposing fans to stay around after a game to watch the 5th Quarter? I'm assuming Arkansas lameass high school style doesn't get too many people to do that.

as far as other bands also using the high step, no matter what you try and say its not the same. UW calls it the "Stop at the Top," and you will never see any other band do it the same. Its something they take pride in.
