The only thing that I don't like about this video is the RE-20. When it does subtle reverb and echo effects, it seems to sound fine, but when it starts to "feed back" and recreate the more classic Roland space echo sound, it seems like the emulation doesn't quite cut it. Gets very digital sounding and piercing rather than warm and smooth. That's just my impression from the video though. Regardless, it was an interesting video.
its a cool synth...but why put up this video, play one sound and tweak it so we can hear what it sounds like....most annoying 7 minutes and 8 seconds of my life
listening to this made me feel like i was at Guitar Center!! in the keyboard section filled with a bunch of kids banging on bad ass synths!!!...... Nice collection by the way :D
@ScouseSoldier no. you cant make a whole song on one keyboard unless it is a workstation. if you were wondering "can you make a wobble bass like is often found in dubstep tracks?" then yes, as long as there's an lfo modulating a lowpass filter, you can make a wobble bass.
I'm glad you posted this. I've wondered what a Mopho and a RE-20 would sound like together, especially after hearing what Daniel Fischer from Sweetwater did on his RE-20 demo.
I feel sorry for your neighbours! You have a neat collection of gear and a nice touch on your thing. Mopho Keyboard is a really nice synth to own either you like to play or tweak... or both.
