Dude, Ben P here from FBook (don't let the pseudonym fool ya).
Nice cover mate, I learnt this too back in my college days (forgotten all but the main theme now), it's a lovely composition and harder than it might appear to some.
I think you captured some really nice dynamics there mate :)
Congratulations another nice executed cover !! the ´wes montgomery´ part is amazing !!! So delicate, so brazilian, so jazzy, so smooth and seductive, it´s like a lady singing in my ears, great composition, and well executed...!! congrats
Very nice. I just started learning this song, with the help of guitar pro 5 software, I was wondering if you read notation or play by ear? what is the process that you go through when learning a new song?
I tend to work out rock stuff by ear and then write a lead sheet in standard notation to help me commit it to memory. My sight reading is OK but not brilliant. I think it's good practice to try and work things out for yourself rather than using TAB as it helps train your ears. Having said that I almost always use standard notation when I'm playing Classical pieces.
I thought the sound was OK in the room. I played it through a Boogie DC-3 combo with an old Ibanez UE-305 pedal in the front end. I don't think my £9.99 web cam helps much!!

Hi Lyn,
Yes, I agree (I don't know his name either!).
I don't do the song justice but it's fun trying.

Have fun working it out, it's a great tune.

maybe its the recording gear but i think you need more bass in your sound, the chorus sounds good
if i could play anything for clean it would be a rivera and a polytone i think with a boss chorus...

jimi and wes
if only they could have heard this i think they would have smiled
not an easy soon to play you did well, the solo was perfect, a few clams but if you keep practicing it will be perfect
this has always been a favorite of mine, sometimes i play this on nylon acoustic at solo gigs, you play it better than me

Hi Mate,
Thanks for the comment.
I worked it out years ago but haven't played it for a while. I'll have to tidy it up a bit....
