Tenically Creep right. In the original book version, they were all vampires, they just spread like zombies. From what I understand it differed from book to book, each leaning to a different side in the Zombie vs. Vampire theory.

But this movie is almost intirely zombie, with only a hint of vampire. So in a way your right too.
