Do you have to use a mouse pad for the magic mouse? I thought you didn't but the black bars underneath mine are getting rubbed down so I was wondering

is the mouse heavier? because i have the wireless mighty mouse and when i try and use two finger scroll with it( like the magic mouse) it drags it along my desk

the mighty mouse does not have multitouch

Two finger swipe is multitouch, so yes it does have multitouch.

Yes you can... go to any apple store or apple online store... you can buy it separately since day 1.

not true, you can order it but they aren't shipping the till the end of this month or early next month and the apple store does not have them in yet unless you buy them with the new imacs

It came with the iMac, they will more than likely sell it seperately when 10.6.2 is released.

MS Windows 7 released with touchscreen capabilities. Apple Magic Mouse appears to offer similar functionality without having to reach over the keyboard to touch the screen and without having to buy a touchscreen. Apple 1 MS 0! Appears to be targeted at desktop machines which don't have a trackpad rather than recent Apple laptops which do. I am sure you are correct and that Apple will release software updates which will address any current limitations in functionality.
