  • hackers are the green, purple is the government

  • pretty sure the new scientist logo is fake

  • So anyways I'm a Computer Science major and what the fuck is this?

  • hands up if u had no fuckin idea wat was goin on but watched it anyway

  • whoah.

  • easiest way to fight a hacker attack....unplug the internet

  • @XgamecrazyX100 finally, someone smart. That's exactly what you do.

  • sauron was defeated again and the peace returns to the middle earth

  • the fuck am i watching

  • rofl this made me crack up for some reason

  • seems legit

  • Welll....... thats was lame......

  • 1:25 SIr! the website has infiltrated the Hacker!

    General: No...

    General: Shut.. down..everything....

  • I don't get it

  • the fuck is this?

  • that isn't how hacking works.

  • Lol is the uploader implying hacking is a game?

There is no winner in hacking, shit happens instantly. Not a damn thing you can do about it. Computers were poorly designed from the beginning and we ought to sue all the computer companies for making a faulty insecure product that a 9 year old could hack. If sombody wants to you hack you and they have the knowledge to do it and you can't anti-hack, you're fucked. That's all there is to it. People are wicked fast at hacking now days...

  • so if i put marbles to my router, it will defend hacker attacks?

  • this looks like a game

  • Seems legit.

  • Nice visuals...

Instead of bubbles from the hacker's side, I'd make random hooks that reach out and grab balls.

Instead of information falling, I'd have them go from one point to another like it was being shot.

Instead of honeypots being spewed, I'd have them inline with the actual information only to be filtered out later.

And how poor of an VoIP do you have to be without strong encryption anyways?

  • Someone needs to make a game out of this.

  • @heystupidopenthedoor There was a fantastic hacking game called Uplink that came out years ago... Always wished they'd make an update for it.

  • @googlymoogly64 Thanks man, I'll check it out.

  • the green circles are honeypots, systems that act as decoys. of course, it probably doesn't work like a contest of "who can make the most bubbles", but it's interesting

  • Where do you find this game at???

  • Comment removed

  • is this some kind of weird computer game. looks fun

  • Music?

  • Are they ddosing?

  • @cuberandgamer I'm going to be nice to you, because you are only 11.No there is no ddosing in this. The "hackers" are just scanning for vulnerabilities, where they could come in on the server and steal peoples information. See xtechbiz comment at top comments.

  • Now lets see the computer fight against Anonymous!

  • @HeavyCupcake

hurr durr anonymos is leejun lulz hackers internet ddos loic

  • when pro hackers want, then the PC is hacked befor you know someone of them

  • most intense game of pong ever..

  • @j0bzz so intense i crapped bricks and pee my pants

    oh crap

  • wut

  • i think this is the stupidest thing ive ever watched

  • Woah, that would be an awesome (but risky) defense game.....

  • It just looks like pure lag to me...

  • @Brandson1000 i get it.

  • Strangely musical.

  • This looks like a game ,IWANT TO PLAY

  • @SonicDPD It looks a lot like this game called Uplink on Steam. But.....that's nowhere near what happens in it.

  • go green!!!!\

  • is that why computers get so SLOW

  • @pmaguire13

yup your computer overflows the systems with false files trying to stop the hackers scan.

  • I guess the hacker sucks at hacking or that firewall is beast.. :D

  • @Littlesoccerkid yeah lol!

  • Comment removed

  • @Littlesoccerkid lol awesome comp to have

  • but how did he create this visualization?

  • so fighting a hacker is a 2d video game with physics?

  • @caboosendonut

Aa Yes you got it :)

  • is this a video game?

  • or you could just install antivirus...

  • @FanMan3009 Won't help brah

  • Uplink mod anyone?

  • security by magic?

  • 1:43 A red dot touches one of the blue circles. -- Hacker wins.

  • MATRIX BUT REMIXED

  • Isnt this the new honeypot/honeycomb pulse trap system?

  • i dont get it. wtf is this suppose to be?

    gayayay

  • need waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more red!!

  • Fucking hackers, scum of the Earth

  • 107 people were Ext_ziyou

  • If saving your computer was this easy, then I guess everyone could be a hacker or a savior then...

  • guys hes not fighting a hacker

  • i still mastubard on it

  • Awesome!!!

  • Internet is soooo slow at 1:20 I cant even get my email.

  • good visual, but it obviously doesnt rly happen like that! all though something like that might be able to teach people who know nothing about computers more about these viruses!

  • where does this happen in?

  • @MetalMastersMan1234 its not what actually happens it just shows you how the computer fights the virus

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx oh because i thought that looked really cool.

  • looks like its cumming EVERYWHERE!

  • Comment removed

  • thats like "avg vs hacker" lol

  • This is exactly what it look slike when you hack. lol

  • @JayCrims0n yes and no, it's a graphical representation of data flow an a VOIP server which is under attack. Exactly what it looks like to hack (or crack) can truly be many things

red & white = vulnerability scans from hackers (bad guys "the pirates")

purple = (user account data "the treasure")

green = (honeypots of unusable data "the navy")

  • @LongJohnOlsen It was sarcasm. I understand what it represents :-)

  • i dont get this

  • What, that is not how hacking works.

  • i think my computer got a virus watching this! DAMN IT!!!!

  • looks like guys with colorful sperm cum in a bottle...

  • ....Saints Row.....

  • Here's what's happening. The blue is the user accounts that the hackers want to get to. The red is the hackers scanning for a hole to attack through. The green is "fake" data sent from the server to act as a shield against the hackers. As the intensity of the "hacking" increases, so does the protection. If the red connects with the blue, the server is compromised. That's the most layman explanation I can give, thumbs up for people to see.

  • @xtechbiz exactly what I got out of this, nice explanation. Cheers

  • @xtechbiz thank you for the comment

  • @xtechbiz I really wanted to like it, but you have 69 comments, and that just made me die inside :L

  • @xtechbiz wat about the white???

  • @xtechbiz Because obviously user accounts are managed with a physic engine...

Im a programmer and not sure how this demo is helpful in anyway to show a concept for a security system........

Looks like a demo someone frustrated with upper management ignorance made.

  • @xtechbiz Still doesn't make really any sense.

  • for a second it looked like my weather report... lol

  • I think I don't understand what I'm watching.

  • 1:10 DUBSTEP!

  • i wish this was a game...

  • @macandcheesecannon multiplayer will be better

  • what a pile of shite

  • This must be what happens at the Molecular Level of a Computers System fighting hacker attacks...

  • i just spent 2 min of my life watching colorful dots fall...

  • @superfreakinawesome8 ah, but educational (and dubstep) dots they were :)

  • looks like the computer(good guy) is just spamming the whole thing

  • wow is that true or a old video game wich soem fake stuff in it

  • hey ur lagging

  • is this actually a visualisation or just a simulation?

  • This is amazing, really puts the whole process in a different perspective when you see it visually.

  • have the machines won yet? still working on that "hail the machines" sign to hang outside the window....

  • Cool effect but what does physics have to do with hacking a computer? Please explain what the hell is going on in this video.

  • So when Sony's PSN network got hacked it was like that except without any green balls.

  • am i high yet?

  • this make no sense

  • why dont i know how to do this?

  • No fair the Anti Virus got waay bigger balls..

  • pwnd

  • ok, so it seems like on the left is "information" being sent, performing normal duties, on the right the little balls are the "hacker" attempting to intercept that data for whatever reason and the green balls comming from left are blocking the scan. thumbs up so people can get an idea of whats up.

  • WTF is this? This sir, is NOT hacking

  • Skynet almost went online.......

  • Computer: 1

Douche hacker trying to fuck up yo shit: 0

  • This bs has nothing to do with any technical stuff in real..

  • why do the accounts start to disappear

  • am I the only one who doesn't have a clue what's going on here...

  • 1:20 i think your done now bad guy...

  • HACK BIGGER!!! It's clear that hacking tiny is just going to fuck you over. Inertia is against you from the very beginning. Hack bigger, hack denser. Mass is everything.

  • Honestly i have no idea whats going on here..

  • It's obvious that the HACKER wins.

  • So this is why in movies ...hackers always tap the keyboard wildly.... they are playing Yars Revenge.

  • XC It looks really creepy

  • wonders

  • So is this a representation of a hacking incident? Or are you actually trying to convince us that this itself is the hacking and when you hack it's like War Games?

  • I want the soundtrack...

  • It kinda looks like I'm looking at the game Geometry Wars. hahaha

  • so is this what happens when you mix Tron with the hell of sand falling game?

  • SCIENCE!

  • all a bunch of 1s and -0s

  • WOOHOO NEW HI SCORE!

  • wait wait wait....... isnt the internet a series of tubes?

  • @xxvladekxx yep thats why the circles were hollow, we were just looking at them from the end ;-P

  • @xxvladekxx yes. The internet is pneumatic not electronic as most people assume, and it was invented by Winston Churchill not Al Gore.

  • I want the hacker to win

  • This is too subjetive and, so, wrong. Stop using drugs, guys.

  • ..C.L.U.....

  • where is tron guy?

  • Does the sound have any relation to the experiment or is it only a nicety added to the video ????…

  • Hacker: "Huh? Attacking side pressure overload, what?"

*Crack appears on screen. Hundreds of green bubbles fly out.*

    Hacker: "AHH! OH GOD!"

  • Oooh, circles! :-P

  • 1:28 to the point where everything blows up!

  • This is like Tron

  • it should be "computer fights hacker attack and increases boredom"

  • The real information is trapped behind the fake information

  • wtf is this? lol

  • This is exactly how I repel hackers from my computer: with colorful circles. Although I like to call them destructo disks.

  • Humans are inherently visual creatures. By presenting data in a new fashion, like in simulations such as this one, we can more easily identify potential weaknesses and understand how processes within computers (and any subject, really) work. Our brains are simply geared to identify visual patterns more quickly and easily than mathematical formulas, lines of code, or pages of computer printouts.

  • @snowgyre lol u just dissed urself bro xD

  • The fuck did I just watch?

  • sick of misleading titles

  • Hey i've got a wishful idea!

Let's just leave each other's privacy alone.

That way we ALL can experience the fastest internet without all the security processes running in the background :P

  • @gunblade64 if only it was that simple

  • I somehow doubt that when a computer fights a hacker attempt, it relies upon or even involves a PHYSICS SIMULATION. This isn't the Matrix.

A less misleading title would start with "A Visualization of How A.."

  • This is totally not how computers work.

  • Showing that security makes our internet slow :(

  • გუდაავთ?

  • გუდაავთ?

  • the conclusion is obvious: as long as the hacker can attack faster than the targetserver can produce honeypots, he wins...Moreover even if he doesnt the server stll floods itself anyway

  • fuck cancer anyways, lets prevent vs. cure

  • SERVER WINS!

    GAME OVER! YOU LOSE!

    INSERT COIN TO CONTIUNE.
