The way I see things:

Bush was the worst President.

Due to how bad he was, it was a given that Obama would win. Heck Clinton,Biden, even a empty can of beer would have won against McCain.

But conservative values and conservative voters are not gone, they are just homeless.

The Republican Party had Mccain lead it and his values are not conservative values.

So from my point of view, I had no one to vote for in the last election.

Obama I trust not to blow up the world, no so McCain.

Steele seems like a good guy who has earned this position as much as any of the previous white heads of the GOP. However I believe he was appointed as a counter to Obama to sway African-American voters in the future.
