@Aboogleu No problem, and then there is the "fringe statute" which we're told was only for Israel but I'm thinking God meant "his people" plain and simple.
The fringe statute is in Numbers 15:37-41 and Deuteronomy 22:12.
I'm still trying to determine what a "ribband of blue" is.
Some sources say it is one string or one tassel but the jury is still out on that one in my view.
I believe everything God has told us to do has a real down to earth practical application and purpose for us. hmmnm
@filoIII You do not understand Paul's words my friend.
I am in NO WAY saying we earn Salvation and neither was Paul but also was not saying the Law is abolished.
We can not WORK for JUSTIFICATION.
Let's say you get a speeding ticket having broken man's law, and I step in and pay your $100 penalty, and then you do it 5 more times, and I pay the penalty every single time.
This is grace.
Now does this mean that the law is therefore abolished because you don't have to concern yourself with it?
@filoIII LOL, my friend Paul was not against the law of God.
He said God forbid.
Half call Paul legalist. The other half say he was against the Law.
It is NEITHER.
Paul is telling you that there are 2 SEPARATE ISSUES.
Issue #1 Salvation is by grace, through faith and not of works of God's Law.
It is the GIFT of God, PERIOD end of story.
Issue #2 If you Love God keep his Commandments. Not to earn Salvation. You can't.. Jesus did that FOR us, but trust and love him and DO what he told you to DO.
Interesting I didn't know about mixed fabrics and mixed seed and animals.
I need to study the old testament.
Thanks for this!
