Infinity Ward never said anything because the Gaz/Ghost mistery is part of their franchise and helps sell games,comics etc. they created the mystery ON PURPOSE, this mystery will also help sell MW3 as its going to be all about Ghost/Gaz.

You got to love this game for the story it has as well as it's multiplayer and the special ops wow really wow I really can't wait to see Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 if they make it! (Heres hoping they do I know they will!)

I hope there will be a next game - because the story end - but not end as well as there is one loose end that isn't finished yet by not seeing Zakhaev. (you know what I mean). And our buddies who go deeper underground it seems. It leaves an end open for a new game. But maybe ... Modern Warfare can change into Urban Warfare. A bit the movie "Kingdom" // "The Assasin"-style of warfare. On the hunt in modern or ancient, east or western cities.
