  • this time war, the gap between 8-9th doctors, needs to be explained it's really the best way for the series to move on, if smith somehow ends up in the middle of the war stops his people and the daleks and master and then regenerates into the 12th.

  • This is brilliant! I love it - the 'regeneration' from Eight to Nine was extremely well done, even if his stance wasn't quite what we've become used to in 'New Who' - it got the message across and that's the main thing. Well done!

I can't help but wonder if the new Dr Who Movie might go back and address this missing adventure - I know RTD said we should never see it, that it's best left to the imagination, but IMHO we should see Eight's final moments...

  • @EDZEL2011 He didn't say we should never see it, rather, that it was best left to other media.

Last official statements from the BBC just a few weeks ago had the movie at the "We'd like to do this" stage of development. I personally suspect that it's much further along than this, and they want to make it a bit of a surprise when it drops on the 50th anniversary.

  • @ctraver You could well be right! Certainly there is going to be a bit of a gap before the next series (autumn next year rather than spring - argh!) and the most recent statement from Moffatt about 'The Film' is that it will star the incumbent Doctor and will be made by the BBC. And Matt Smith was making enthusiastic noises about 3D, so I suspect there is something afoot. Smith also mentioned the Master... whoop! whoop! *Hopes*

  • @EDZEL2011 I should perhaps amend the 'will' to 'would'... since he wasn't actually confirming plans as such... lol.

  • cool dud.

  • there were a couple of scenes that didn't make much sense, but I can see work was put into making it. Fantastic.

  • And with the gap in rality, I mean the one mensioned in the sound of the drums, the Untempred Schism.

  • During the time war, maybe the daleks destroyed the gap in reality. If it has the same qualities as the doctors TARDIS, it could have blown up the galaxy. Maybe the doctor locked that part in time to make sure the universe would remain. Maybe he blaims himself for the destruction of his race, wile the only thing he did was avoiding the destuction of space and time. All rips and fauts and temporal shifts could be because of this explosion.

  • @Prinsgezindepatriot No, Time War was fought between Time Lords and Daleks. But after a while the TimeLords became as mad as the enemy's. they became cruel, like Rasilon. and corrupted. they realised in the final days, the daleks were to strong for them and that they were going to lose the war so their plan was to destroy the whole universe and become some non-corporeal collective consciousness that would be the only sentient form of life in existence. They doctor had no choice then to kill them.

  • THIS SUCK THIS IS NOT EVEN GALLYFREY

  • This is only the second of two videos I've seen simulating the Time War. Pretty good! Only issue I have is not being able to understand what the Daleks are saying. The one thing I've never understood: what was the point of the Time War from the writers' perspective? Was it part of "reinventing" the show?

"We foresee a time when they will have destroyed all other life forms and become the dominant creature in the universe."

  • @Bonemeal2 dalek are just crazy, and want to destroy everything. they hate so much the doctor ( cause he destroy them), that i think they just want to destroy everything that the doctor protect, like we see on those last episode from the season 4, ( the new one)

  • Fantastic :)

  • 0:10 is the comfiest the TARDIS has ever looked

  • Not bad, but I actually hope no movie or story about the Time War is ever made...

... it would just reek too much of Star Wars Eps 1-3. We all know what happened, the Daleks and the Time Lords had a war and the Doctor destroyed both races to end the war.

I'd still love to see Paul McGann, however! Perhaps as a 2-doctor story. Or you never know, he just might return full time. It could be explained as "reverse regeneration" or something. Unlikely, but I'd like to see it!

  • @jruddock 12th doctor?

  • nice try

  • what music.

  • This was pretty good didi u make the CG urself. I think the time war is impossible to portray and maybe its shouldn't b the imagination gives us so much more of a grand war where history itself is weaponised. however it is ever decided it should b portrayed they should do it like the Clone Wars where u see key events but not everything, it is a war afterall so there would b an infinite number of fronts. I'd want RTD 2 write it since he created it and probably has a bttr idea about it

  • I think that the ninth regeneration was triggered due to the Doctor's guilt over destroying th timelords. The eighth doctor's decision to commit suicide would explain alot about number 9's attitude and personality and would definitely be compelling television.

  • CGI =SUCKS. God stop it already.

The older Dr Who's have more realism than that!

  • test

  • Destroying Galifrey is just a dumb move by writers & producers.

this destroys the whole series. F them.

  • CGI is stupid!!! looks FAKE.

  • Destroying Galifrey is just a dumb move by writers/producers.

this destroys the whole series. F them.

  • didnt dalek sek emergency time jump into the time war and go insane because of the timelock... he saw the whole of time and decided that the daleks were evil?

  • its to bad they never showed us the real version of the events, they give us hints but it would be nice to have a flashback episode where it shows what took place that caused the Doctor to have to destroy his own species and home planet

  • hi there whats the music called on this thanks!!!!

  • @izzyNjosh - It's music from the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie.

  • Actually the cause of Gallifrey's destruction is apparently from when "the Cruciform fell". Has nothing to with the Eye of Harmony. The Cruciform fell, and Gallifrey burned and the Time Lords died, and so too did the Eighth Doctor. Many surrounding planets and stars were destroyed as well by the Cruciform's fall.

  • i thought it was the doctor who stopped the timelords from creating hell, so he destroyed everything

  • I posted that BEFORE End of Time aired, and I just said it's what destroyed Gallifrey. I didn't say why the Doctor did it. He chose to destroy the Cruciform in orbit around Gallifrey so it would destroy the insane Time Lords, and the Daleks.

  • peace out

  • thanks

  • Hi what is the music at the end any on please ?

  • yh + dalek cann made it there so why cant the doctor makes sense tbh and david sposed to be leaving and find the master maybe its at the end of the time war you never no the writers will come up with something good im sure

  • no i think the time war is one of them thing the doctor siad had to happrn and if he chaged it it could dystoye the very fabric of the fouth dimtion time and space

  • The Time Lock was Broken by Dalek Kahn so now we could have the Doctor Drawn back to the Time War by the 8th Doctor and there we go we have an episode with Paul McGann in it

  • sorry mate i thought so to but kahn isnt like the startrek one its caan

  • that would be khan anyway :P

  • Caan , not Kahn .

  • i think in one of the new series tht the doctor shud fall bak into the time war and be the hero but have to make the hardest decision of his life his ppl or the fabric of time and space

  • There's a time lock on it...

  • @Mrspankbank: I think the Time War is "Time-locked" and cannot be revisited and/or altered

  • @andy5421 True, but there could at least be a flashback =)

  • @Mrspankbank I think their should be a Doctor who reunion where the doctor meets his past incarnations and sees the Time war again and his 8th self regenerate into his 9th self

  • @Mrspankbank Are you not paying attention? That's the WHOLE point of the revived series! The Doctor did make that decision and, as we hear over and over, he's looking for a chance to be forgiven for his actions.

  • @Mrspankbank thats kinda easy... if the fabric of time and space go down then his people go down too.

  • @Mrspankbank There have been two known instances of the Time Lock being breached. One shattered the mind of Dalek Caan. The other The Doctor did everything he could to stop, and then when the Time Lords came through, he did everything he could to reverse their trip.

We already know that he faced this decision, and the guilt he feels over it. Actually showing it would be gratuitous. Maybe in a flashback if they can get McGann or Eccleston to come by. But not the current doctor going back

  • @ctraver i think the 8th doctor ended the war and later regenarted into 9th doctor so eccleston would be out of the question there but not a bad idea

  • Does the Doctor Series actually show the Time War

  • No, a lot of fans like to speculate though! One theory is that the "Classic Series" leads up to the Time War in the same way as the "New Series" follows on from it.

  • @adamsbullock

It is also believed that when the 8th Doctor stopped the Time War he was forces to regenerate into Christopher Eccleston :)

  • @adamsbullock Maybe before the last Doctor dies we can see what really happened. All we know so far is that the Doctor was forced to destory hisown planet because the Time Lords had turned to the Dark Side like the Daleks had done

  • @chocolatefountain95 some say they were tempted by greed ot lust for power. we all know the real reason as to why the TimeLords turned to the dark side...it was because of the cookies.

  • @Alexplus20 they're only Time Lords (a poor way of trying to say they're only human when they're not

  • @adamsbullock the bubble around galifrey was because it was destroyed please get it right

  • @adamsbullock

Thats not a theory, thats the truth

  • @adamsbullock we need a really long trilogy in between:P to explain all that is inbetween :)

  • the two origanal writers made one rule of doctor who, they can never show the timewar because our imaginations of it is better then any episode could be

  • but nice video :)

  • your video doesn't explain the time locked

  • Maybe because it was uploaded before the series mentioned the Time Lock

  • Ghost rider at 3:26 ??

  • lol

  • My comment was aimed at oilcityskates

  • nice work! :)

  • Nice, I liked it. Thanks for posting it!

  • good! not the best but still great! 4 1/2/5 if u look at the daleks here, then at the daleks in the new series, u can tell that the Who cast recycled props!! LOL!!!

  • at 2:35 the dalek has a fuckin orgasm and its kinda creepy

  • lol

when he regenerated it remind me of the bad guy from Hercules, the one with the flames on his head... i don't recall his name.

    or the Ghost Rider loool

but the daleks where well done.

still prefer the original Who though lol

    :P

  • no offence mate but this totally suks!

  • moo i agree moo

  • totaly fake

  • I'm sorry...what. You're obviously not a fan if you think thats real!

The video was well done 5 stars

  • what song did you use

  • the sound at the start was the same as the sound from the end of the time beetle episode :S

  • scrath scrath. if you dont like these flicks then dont watch them. and you are the nerd. why? well only nerds have punch ups online. great video here. like to see more.

  • Fanfic movies vary in quality from the naff to standards in excess of those achieved by "professional" corporations. I hope I don't come across as too judgemental when I say that Adam should be handed the Doctor Who office, a sizable budget and total control. Preferably by last week.

  • That was great. Thank you for taking the trouble to put this together and show us all. More please!

  • nice!

  • I couldn't understand what the daleks were saying, other than that i think it was a great try.

  • I like this alot. It's like a story board for what could be a great movie.

  • Feel free to have a go yourself then... :p

  • I'm sure Mr Davies would rather promote creativity rather than what you're doing, which is basically telling this guy he shouldn't bother getting out of bed in the morning. Keep making these things mate, its brilliant. Really top stuff.

  • Telling somebody what they've done is rubbish isn't healthy criticism. Its being a rude, arrogant and unsupportive twat.

  • tell that to gordon ramsey.

  • Are you Gordon Ramsey? No, you're not. If he does swear at people then it is so that they will manage to prepare food to a standard that people are willing to PAY for. Last time I checked I found that this was free. You argument is therefore redundant and your comments frankly moronic. Healthy critisicm is about suggesting how people may better it, not acting like a moron in a schoolyard saying "oooh this is rubbish, it would be much better if I did it... but I won't, so there."

  • Lets see you try then! I thought it was the best video i've seen on the TimeWar

  • for copyright reasons i can not show my version of the time war.

  • Firstly, I think that was brilliant for something done by a person who isn't a large SFX company. Secondly, you couldn't shame a plastic bag in special effects competition... If you would like to prove me wrong please do create your own. Until then don't badmouth people unless your prepared to do better. Healthy criticism is about supporting people and suggetsing changes to help people better their work. You haven't done this.

  • oh on the contrary, i could shame everyone here on you tube but, i am not going to do that for the sake of modesty.

  • Yeah because THAT makes sence. You boast about your talent and then when it comes to proving it you fail to deliver. You sound like my ex-boyfriend in bed, all talk no bollocks. If you happen to be so good, please prove it to the youtube community. If not, keep your comments polite and your insults to yourself. Good day to you sir.

  • as i have stated so many times before, i can not show my version of the time war for copywrite reasons and for the sake of modesty in general, oh and incidentently this is a public forum medium and i can give criticism no matter how insulting it sounds.

  • Have you ever considered that even if it is a public forum and all opinions are welcome, That in the name of human decency you should cut someone a break and say 'Hey maybe I didn't like that video and maybe I could do better, but still nice try.' Rather than making yourself a real conceited moron infront of all these people. Please tell me the copyright situation as I dont believe that one exists. Oh and messages are regulated so insuts can be removed, or made to be spam by the community.

  • alright so you just sounded like the worlds biggest idiot "for the sake of modesty" yet you say you could shame everyone on you tube?? how does that make sence please think about what your saying befor typeing...

  • please learn to spell properly before replying to me. sence is spelled sense and typeing is spelled typing. now who is the idiot?

  • yeah try talking to someone who actually cares about spelling and grammar and nice job avoiding the point I made cuz u know im right your just a douche bag... idiot...

  • @adamsbullock that guy was an ahole. regardlkess of how good or bad any video is the time war is near damn impossible to portray. its like saying, well actually yeah, portray time in all its infinite complexity. no 1 can do that. saying that I do hope someday to see a book, comic, audio story or something that portrays at least some of the tie war preferrably the events we've eard of, the Nightmare Child, Davros' death, the ressurrection of the Master, the Doctor ending the war, Rassilon's rise

  • and the award for biggest moran goes to....chicko1290

  • go to hell you little bitch. this is terrible, just like your mum

  • and thats why your the moran and i'm not.

  • your only a cyber nerd, go suck a long one. im intelligent and enjoy good movies, probably why this appeals to you no doubt.

by the way, its spelt morOn, not morAn

    you moron.

  • Yep! I'm a nerd/geek and proud of it. Enjoy good movies too. Nice talking to you! :-D lol

  • Excellent. Thanks for sharing.

  • wow, that was good!

  • Cheers. The soundtrack is available on the region 2 dvd.

  • Brilliant. I especially congratulate you on the tricky putting together of Romana II and Doctor VIII.

  • OH, sorry, I was actually commenting on something else but actually put it here- I really really like this video though.

  • wooooooooow can u put the gallifrey model on your website
