@BejnXander If I remember right (it's been a long time but I was obsessed with sh2 so read everything about it) silent hill 2 happens not long after he kills Mary and he has her corpse in the boot of his car (the one at the start where you get the map). It would explain where she came from in the rebirth ending as well.

1.Mary is already dead and comes as a demon

3.Maria is reincernated in place of Mary

4.Maria is the women that james wanted to see in Mary

5. Maria has been send for james out of love where mary could not be fore.

It's strange, that you cannot die on Beginner difficulty. I tried to die, but it was impossible. I got hit 200 times and I was still alive. Plus, why the hell does the game gives James so many health drinks on Beginner? It's no need :)

Anyway, if I were James, I would take Maria with myself and get the hell out of Silent Hill, unlike James - walking backwards off Maria...

in my opinion this is the best final boss of all the silent hills, the cage is kinda suppoesed to symbolise the bed mary lay on, during her final days sick, it also resembles a cage, also she attacks by choking u (james choked mary) and by spitting moths at u (marias moth/butterfly tatoo) . Also notice that it's like a huge combo of all the games monsters (mannequin like legs, ph gloves, flesh lip cage, maria, ) making it a perfect final boss...
