Sean is Audrey's first son. Therefore would have lived in several different locations throughout his childhood - which is why it is difficult to place.Although he has an American accent he would have lived in Italy (Audrey's second husband)then to the Canton of Vaud-Switzerland which is French speaking. I believe he works in film as a producer or director in The US and has done for a while.not sure if that helps - Maybe someone has more info - i only know this from reading about Audrey..
