  • 1 MISTAKE AND NO DINNER!, no go play.

  • Sometimes I ask myself how many gifted people are out there with no economical posibilities to develop their talents. Thanks god at least this little girl's family is wealthy enough to get her a piano.

  • :O

  • This child is gifted and I'd like to say this is a professional assessment. Taste and ear, intelligence, a sense of rhythm, tonal gradation and a sense of exploration. She also has a VERY gifted teacher. This isn't flashy, it;s just very good music making with exceptional potential.

  • i wanna be asian

  • can i get piano lessons from you?

  • I've played piano since I was 4 and now I'm 13 and I still can't even play that well!! Great job!!

  • Verrrry Good!

  • Shoulders need to be relaxed a bit more. Otherwise, well played.

  • BRAVO!!!!

  • malparida!

  • Alo the piano is used as an ear training instrument so it is a base to use so you can play by ear

  • yes practice has given her the talent to play the music but the music she plays was not made by talent

  • The ability to make effort is also a kind of talent. It's not like if one exceeds you by hardworking one deserves less respect. And I really don't like some ppl always criticizing the Asian way of practice. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING TO A CERTAIN LEVEL OR AMOUNT TO BE ABLE TO REALLY UNDERSTAND AND ENJOY IT. Even though knowing what you're interested in at the very beginning is the best, that's usually not the reality. Doing something is at least better than wasting time on nothing.

  • Asian dad: Good. You can have dinner now.

  • damn now I wish my life wasn't so worthless

  • Amaziiiiiing!

  • damn .. My to do list for 2012 is to lear to play that good and i am 20 . Ohh but it dosen't matter right !, better latter than never . so 2012 here the best pianist come . yeah , fingers crossed lool :))

  • Tune that piano for her young ears

  • You are amazing...I am 12 years old and I've been playing piano for 7 years and I'm barely half as good as that. Keep doing what you're doing because you're doing fantastic.

  • WELL DONE!!!!!

  • menina de talento

  • cara que dez o video

  • I'm disgusted me to see how many haters expose themselves here. That's so evil, badmouthing such talent and dismissing it has abusive parenting etc. whats wrong with people. If a child really can't do this things then no matter how you force them it wont produce this result. This child is gifted and enjoys playing that's obvious.

  • wow, shes'g goin to have very bad tendonitis in her hands. I really hope she takes nice long resting periods

  • I'm so inspired by this....

  • estremamente bravi ma fragili dentro...

  • come on guys..... she doesnt look happy playing it,....they parents force her to practise like a machine....no feelings

  • mummy can i go out and play now? did i earn my play time? poor child

  • Difficulty: Asian

  • I'd kill a lady gaga everyday for people like this to be born.

  • @JizzMasterPino ASIANS ROCK!

  • Typical Asian-style description: WE WANT the world to listen to a performance of A daughter...

  • @MathijsGiltjes1993 you are jealous of this girl's ability and talent you could never have.

  • Wow!Dat zou ik ook wel willlen kunnen.

Ik zit er nu 2 jaar op maar ben nog lang niet zo ver :)

  • na i think it because we think of practice as fun well i do i can practice for 5 hours during break to perfect an easy song and of course i dont even know the time passing by if i get really in to it basically just like ready

    fellow asian :)

  • she may play intricate pieces, but she doesnt have the best form. her hands look a little stiff :/ not trying to be mean and no offense meant

it sounds pretty but i was taught to keep my fingers up and my hands rounded :)

  • @ihazdehpocky I don't know if she could hit the keys well enough if she held her hands properly, but I do see what you mean

  • she's so cute!

  • Η γλυκύτατη Γιαπωνέζα παίζει στα -πανίσχυρα- δάχτυλά της τον Johann Sebastian -την ευχή του νά χει ! :-)

  • Doesnt anybody know that Asians also comprise of Arabs, Middle Easterns, indians, Pakistani, Bangladeshis, Polynesians, Thai , Malaysian , Indonesians , Nepals, and many , many more races ? So why do most people in the west describe only Chinese/ Orientals as Asians ?

  • @mikey00609 Most of us are just still quite ignorant! If the media changes their perspective/tonation on Asia as the continent that it is, this will change. Cause.. just as over there, we too are quite mind-shaped by all those media.

  • @mikey00609 How many little girls do you see in this video? rofl

  • The video description is SOOO ASIAN:

"our dream that I get people in the world to listen to a performance of a daughter"

Yes we know, because it brings respect to your "famiry".

  • Congratulations.I have a dear friend in London, the great Japanese virtuoso, Chisato Kusunoki. You can find her CDs on Amazon and also through Facebook. Perhaps your daughter would enjoy them.

  • Determination Vibe o.o

  • I'd love to learn this please ... what's the name of it ?? i can't seem to find it under the name of praludien :(

  • Yeah... there's something mechanical in that... they play as if they were machines... nothing human in that... they play like that because they are machines.... They must mix up music... and PERFORMANCE ! :-((((

  • Very talented. shes better than me LOL.

  • I can't even read musical notes ..

  • @LyzaSmileyFace I believe mozart (or one of those kind of artists) couldn't read musical notes either. There was atleast one, Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, I don't remember.

  • Comment removed

  • some kids at age of 8 learned first note, some just played, some didnt flush toilet...but maybe Teresa still have childhood, she can have fun,and practice as well.she is talented and her parents wanted to show her talend to World so she can have bright future.i belive that she still have a chance to live as a child ^^and in my case when i was 8,i didnt even know what piano is,the music i made is a sound of crying when somebody took my toy,but now(im proud) i can play twinkle twinkle litle star :D ♥

  • When I was 8 I had not piano... oh wait... I haven't got a piano yet

  • 7 years of piano right heree.. i can play a mean Hot Cross Buns ;D

  • @sokrzy619 lol

  • One more talented kid with no childhood.

  • woooooow i can this with 13 years :O

  • Woooow, so jealous ;O

When I was 8, I just learned my first note :l

  • Amazing!!! :)

  • of course shes asian

  • Great performance. Her smile in the end was cute ^.^

  • A huge BRAVO to her parents for giving her the opportunity to learn how to play an instrument and to her for all the hard work she keeps doing.Best of luck!!!

  • Legendary isn't enough! She is awesome! :)

  • I don't mean to brag, but i play MOSTLY by ear andd it isn't so difficult. some songs like solfegeitto and flight of the bumble bee, i have to learn small parts by ear every day to learn the song cause i don't have or know where to get sheet music. I'm willing to find sheet music for Solfegeitto. does anybody know where to get it FREE???

  • Most asian people dont play by ear they just practice, practice , practice, and i wish i could have the ability to practice all day long.

  • @rhett556 I have the ability... and each night I tell myself tommorow I will... but then something happens?

  • @BallerinaZwenga Im an expert at that :D

  • @rhett556 If I ever had to use an instrument, I would smash someone with one.

  • @rhett556 but u guys are lucky =3= all that free time...

  • @rhett556 yes...like so many bees or ants. Train, train train. It's true, Asian children train hard and well, and so as a consequence can play Bach, Beethoven and Chopin, while still in the womb. But Bach, Beethoven and Chopin are from the western world, where out of the box thinking yields the music being played.

  • @rhett556 lol just how many piano playing asians have you met to be able to judge a whole continent? (the largest one to add)

  • @rhett556 Without practice, how can you reach a higher level or a better skill? get real man

  • @rhett556 Not necessarily... They DO practice and practice more but that doesn't mean they dont play by ear

  • @rhett556 I think you must listen to sarah chang

  • @rhett556

did you see this kid's video when she was 5yo? practice is one thing, god given talent is another. i'm an asian, you can give me 16 yrs to practice and i won't achieve what this kid did in 1yr. i doubt what you lack is "the ability to practice all day long". stop the hating and blame yourself for your own failure as a person.

  • @mmdht2 I wouldn't say it's solely "god given talent". Children are better at catching on to language and the younger you start in learning the language of music the better. Also, nobody was hating on anyone and you were just being rude

  • @darkheart9668

i know plenty of people learning piano starting at 3yo. none of the kids i know could come anywhere close to this one. maybe not "hating" but stop the jealousy and just enjoy the music. i agree that it's not JUST talent. i'm sure she practice a lot more than my 8yo girl but i don't think practice is what sets my girl apart from this one. again, if you start over as a 3yo girl, i'm sure you won't be this good even when you are 18.

  • She is awesome!

  • AMAZING!

  • why is she so adorable

  • Bach is really in her when she performs it. I"m instantly dispelled.

  • omg too pro >:3 you're sooo cutee kawaii desuneeee ~ >_<

  • wow she was awsome when she was 5, but now she plays so smoothly. Keep on playing forever paddler16. :)

  • Another song very very good from Vivaldi with London pictures /watch?v=BR6BSS2NBC4

  • 彼女は非常に有能だ~!

  • "japanese_pianist_gigue She is 8 years old. It is our dream that I get people in the world to listen to a performance of a daughter."

Thats in the description. Do you think she practices 22 hours a day?

  • AMAZING... enough said

  • Now THAT is music!! I hope entertainment today will do more to promote this kind of music. Maybe the world would be a better place if they did... Is she in Japan? I hope the child is doing ok after the disasters, better yet i hope she and her family were not directly affected (i said directly because the whole world is affected). I chose for my company to donate to the disaster victims in Japan. We're on our 2nd month fundraiser right now.

  • @klargklarghonkhonk ..... This video was made in '09... I dont remember any disasters in Japan in '09...LOLOLOL.

  • @pvtdbz210 Review your response. That did not make any sense. Just because the video was made in 2009 does not automatically indicate that she's not in Japan when the disasters took place in 2011.

  • @klargklarghonkhonk meh, they couldve moved...lol..Now review your response, your probably some 30 year old guy while your arguing with some kid that you dont even know over the internet :D.

  • @pvtdbz210 I'm a 26 year old guy who does what he can to make the world a better place. I am not arguing with you. However, if i may say, kids like you shouldn't be allowed to speak your mind so shallow and empty. Further response from your part is a vain attempt to defend your idiocy.

  • @klargklarghonkhonk So is your face. Conversation over. :D

  • you know what I find amazing? she does this all without a sheet of paper with notes. that means it comes from her heart :) she is into the music so much that she is able to remember it without help from the sheet. you my little wonderful beautiful girl will get far :)

  • amazing :)

    kisses from greece

  • That's a joke BTW

  • Her playing lacks maturity.

  • my 8 year old nephew won't even flush the toilet

  • @theveryelect24 hahahahaha! that made me laugh XD

  • 6 years of playing the piano looking at this piece makes me throw away my piano..BRAVOO. so talented. T_T

  • she is the best girl playing piano i`m from argentina she is the best

  • so beautiful and so beautifully talented. her parents must be very proud.

  • You play very well, and this compared to other videos from when you were five was big difference. Bravo!! Keep it up!

  • she is so young, so cute and so talented! :) bravo!

however, note to parents, the piano needs tuning. regular tuning is necessary for great music. but otherwise, great job!

  • She will become a very good Bach player in a few years.

  • She's probably the cutest girl I have ever seen. And she plays the piano soooo well...

  • jesus christ, how the hell... I cant play that well

  • she's sooo cutee

  • MAGIC FINGERS

  • Played really really well! Great musicality too!

  • i can listen to this all day long

  • she's amazing!!!

someone knows the exact name of this piece??? thx!

  • Honest musicality. Bravo girl.

  • That song is good.

  • Loved listening. She's very talented.

  • A truely fantastic performance and its very clear she has a very good teacher. A pleasure to hear - thanks

  • she improved a lottt in just 3 years from when i saw the first video of her when she was 5 :]] nice job

  • Is she playing that without music in front of her? That's amazing! She's so talented!

  • WONDERFUL!

  • Wonderful playing! ;)

  • Che bellae bravva che sei tesoro!

  • @ForeverIsis

    amazing

    thanks for shared ISIS

Happy New Year to bth of you

    Carlinhos

  • wonderful!

    Rozi

  • Excellent!

  • Wonderful!

  • amazing!!!

  • muito, muito, muito, muito bom!

  • great job!

you managed to nail the contrapuntal texture of bach, with the voices very clearly differentiated!

i could hear mature shaping in those long phrases and very good firm tone.

my only complaint would be, could you make the ornaments sound lighter, sound like ornaments, just for decoration? and not take away the limelight.

  • I think there is no point in commenting on the video like that because I´m pretty sure that the this user is not the kid but her parents.

  • fag

  • Who are you to comment like that? An Ass?

  • u r really good <3

  • Excellent! All the stars for you!

  • I play the piano too but you are good!!!!

  • fuck you dolfin!

  • Beautiful girl and nice play

  • Bravo, Sora, you are excellent and pretty! One can't help but to be a fan!

  • wonderful and so cute :)

  • Bravo G

  • was she like 2 when she started learning the piano? she is amzingly skilled for her age!

  • she's ADOOORIBLE. i love that at 8 she's able to play with such precise rhythm!!! wat do the parents DO for their kids to be so talented at such a young age!

  • What a brilliant young lady. Wonderfuly talented. I watched her vid from when she was five to now that she's 8 and simply wow. I can only imagine where she'll be three more years from now.

  • @SniperQuickPurple She has most definately progressed. Se is a supremely talented little lady

  • She looks happy to me.... she loves playing.

  • The dream should be for her to be happy... plenty of faboulous recordings and performers around already.

  • She does play well.

  • How do you know she isn't happy? You see, what you did here is look at a couple of videos and instantly cast judgement over a person.

All I can say is, get a life.

  • Escuse me snedie69er, I was actually commenting on the mothers description of the video at the side, not about the girl! One persons dream should not need of another persons "performance", but hey, this just my personal opinion, to which, btw I am entitled.

I already have a life and am more than happy with it. Cheers.

  • good stuff

  • This was brilliant! Great job!

  • This is so good one can hardly believe one's ears! (but you can see her hands here. So it iS true.) I bet she will become a future piano legend!

  • Wow she got so much better! (i'm not saying that she was bad before. She was actually very very veryy good when she was even just 5). I wish I could play like her! Wonderful job!

  • good job

  • Nicely done!

She gets better and better. I wish I could play like that. She's lucky to have a lifetime of music making ahead of her.

  • SHE IS SO CUTE!!!

  • Thank you for two more wonderful pieces of music, Sorin !

  • Fine job.

    This is remarkably good performance.

  • her tempo is amazing!

    I'm totally her fan! :D

  • who cares about it?

you should be here to listen her, not to talk about her future life.... I think it is a problem of her and her parents... also she's to young for you to say that...

you play wonderfully.... Î want you to teach me *___* I really like to hear you play

    keep going like that ^^

    (-^w^-)/º

  • Very nice interpretation! Brava

  • You have the piano skills, you have the natural musicality, you also have the intelligence to build up a work by Bach, a Composer who asks as much to the fingers than to the brain.....Bravo, Sora......

  • ahah very cute and exceptionally talented, her future husband will be a very lucky guy =)

  • Beautiful, I wish the best for her future.

  • Spechless...
