@hcmontessori if you look at the European Union, each country is still a sovereign nation. They have really only pooled together their economic powers and standardized currency. While they do have a head over the European Union, his powers are limited to economic decisions, and what each individual nation is willing to do. The European Union can’t just up and decide they are going to war for instance, and tell the rest of the union and the nations within it they are going as well.

People really need to get away from the “gloom and doom” ideas of a world government which is fueled by the Christian agenda in this country. If we are ever to progress as a species and move beyond this planet in search of others, we will need a centralized world government. As separate nations, we are all looking out for ourselves. The european union is the image of Europe and without the european union many countries probably would declare bankruptcy and this would put these countries away of the markets by years and the europeans powers probably would be overwelmed by the other economies such USA , China ,Etc...

Wouldn't things be much easier tradewise if Canada and America and Canada shared a currency and open borders? @tahir630247365 Ontario and Quebec are safer, but the other provinces have much higher levels of crime, and our crime rates are becoming closer, the US rate has dropped heavily in the last few years.
@tjones590 im sure thats the opposite because those two provinces are the most populated but I think your getting mixed up in the region of crimes per person that sort of thing. You cannot compare places like miami to places like calgary or edmonton because violent crimes or even petty crimes could not match up the same. With Harper in charge in polictally Canada is in big trouble if he goes even closer towards the NAU because apart from trading with the US they could do deals elsewhere.
@tahir630247365 actually, there is more crime per 100,000 in canada, but less violent crime. Most crime there is property crime, and less crime there is committed using a deadly weapon. Violent crime per 100,000 people is highest in the northern and western provinces. Of course there are more crimes committed in Quebec and Ontario, but crime rate is worse in the other provinces. I think our countries becoming closer would be good, but mostly on an economic scale.
@tjones590 I live in and have travelled to different provinces and I find that stat pretty bizarre! But if you say so, not really Canada has a strong dollar and a well efficient economy and im sure many fellow Canadians and Americans would say this isnt a good idea if they thought its more than a conspiracy. The way I see it the major banking firms in the US are pretty much collapsing the economy on purpose which then sets a precedents on the rest of the economies and its in their plan for this.

The resulting currency would be extraordinarily strong, so strong it would rip apart the exports and ruin the economy all together, even if the imports were much cheaper, but on the other hand, the prospect of a political-territorial union without the same currency would be amazing and beneficial.
Mexico is still very poorly developed to join a hypothetical union for now.

@hcmontessori if you look at the European Union, each country is still a sovereign nation. They have really only pooled together their economic powers and standardized currency. While they do have a head over the European Union, his powers are limited to economic decisions, and what each individual nation is willing to do. The European Union can’t just up and decide they are going to war for instance, and tell the rest of the union and the nations within it they are going as well.

You cannot compare places like miami to places like calgary or edmonton because violent crimes or even petty crimes could not match up the same. @tahir630247365 actually, there is more crime per 100,000 in canada, but less violent crime. Most crime there is property crime, and less crime there is committed using a deadly weapon. Violent crime per 100,000 people is highest in the northern and western provinces. Of course there are more crimes committed in Quebec and Ontario, but crime rate is worse in the other provinces. I think our countries becoming closer would be good, but mostly on an economic scale.

what theyve done is write bnk notes and bank notes and hand it out to whoever wants it and lost track of how much of ANYTHING WE ACTUALLY HAVE.

The resulting currency would be extraordinarily strong, so strong it would rip apart the exports and ruin the economy all together, even if the imports were much cheaper, but on the other hand, the prospect of a political-territorial union without the same currency would be amazing and beneficial.
Mexico is still very poorly developed to join a hypothetical union for now.

I'll be the first to say the EU is fubar however that doesn't mean a North American Union would be fubar considering the fact we can look at the many mistakes the EU has made. Also it would only be dealing with three nation states not 27 like in Europe.
