However, it is not sexism that the majority of mothers get custody ( main care) of the children, study has shown that a woman suffers mentally without care of her children, plus you can't split a child in half & give out the halves to each parent. However, there are some cases where the mother is totally unfit, so the father has the Kids.

I agree with a lot of what you said like the part about religion etc but you should look into the issue of discrimination against fathers a little more. We started a group for divorced father about ten years ago [ on a small scale in a small town] yet we had a tremendous response with tons of blatant discrimination, all honest sharing [ no lawyers or money involved].

Here's an idea for you - MEN ARE PEOPLE TOO! Men kill themselves, suffer depression, feel profound alienation from society, because of lack of access or no access to their kids. And you don't have to split a child in half, you can have realistic visitation times and have them ENFORCED. Men who can't see their children because the ex just refuses to let them should have legal protection against that. There are many areas where real change could be done for men but it always feminists in the way.

In history all children were the property of thier father, the woman did not even get to see the children & she was an outcast, she was left to retire in solace at the generosity of either her father or her husband, for this reason women did usually not divorce, at one time men could only apply for divorce. In most cases a mother gets custody because she is the primary care giver, but most men are the primary "financial" caregivers which is just as important to the child's well being. Yes that is true children are being damaged without there fathers. A child needs both parents male & female, unfortunatley that is not always possible in reality. I think a lot of problems could be solved if ' Dishonesty ' didn't exist, but unfortunatley again it does. However it isn't quite true that all criminals come from single parent homes, there are many criminals that have both parents, it largley depends upon the parent. One damaging aspect is parts of religion.

I don't know about USA laws , but in Britain if a guy marries a woman, he takes on any children she has, as his children. This includes if she had ben married before and the paternal father has died. Answer, i guy does not have to enter a legal marriage with the woman. Also the rape laws in Britain, required that a woman act like a man and get violent back ( this imposement was put on women from men, as this is all that could be understood), however, we now have aggressive women as a result.

If that's the case why isn't automatic joint custody the default setting in child custody court? Children generally turn out a lot healthier in every way if they still have as much contact as possible with both parents. So why are so many men reduced to a visit a every week or even two weeks and have no protection under the law if the woman just decides she won't honour even that? Why is it shaped so completely unequally?
